i was on the phone with my dad earlier today and we were talking about michael. he said something to the point of "now that he's gone, these kids ain't got nobody to copy off of." from what i'm reading on here, i am so glad that i haven't watched BET in years. it's a damn shame, it used to be a great network... Even though Beyonce is capable of covering Michael's ballads, and Ne-Yo tries very hard to represent him as well, I think the rest of these people are aware that they could never do any of his songs justice. Not even in remixing them some way to accommodate their own individual vocal styles. These folks don't try to excel with music now, and to cover Michael Jackson is NOT easy. The popular rappers don't even know how to create decent lyrics over MJ's instrumentals. Thus, this is NOT a tribute to Michael Jackson, and this network should not have advertised this show as being one. This tragedy is nothing to joke about or profit from.....
