About Joe Jackson, Michael seemed to of made peace with him many years ago. Maybe Joe is to blame for some of what happened to him, but Iam in a way Mike seemed to of forgiven him (or so it seemed).

Iam gonna wear my white socks to work today LOL. Not meant to, and I know some assholes will say "who cares about Mike?", but thats all I can think of doing. Bit crap, but I gotta pay my respect somehow.

To Michael, thanks man for everything you gave to me and to this world. You'll always have a place in my heart and you'll always be an inspiration. Peace.

Michael and Joe were last seen together outside Michael's house in L.A. Katherine was with him too. So I'm sure they made peace regardless of the shit they went through.

I am also saddened by the news. My 6 CD player for the last year has had one MJ, one new artist and four Prince.I am broken by the news, mainly because this is a part of my youth! I guess you know you're getting older, when the icons of your youth start passing away...even Farah today...on the Anniversary of Purple Rain.

This was supposed to be such a happy day of memories...what happened? sad

Joe eventually made peace with Mike.

I really think that there was some health issue that the public wasn't aware of.

The man was visiting doctors so frequently in recent times. sad That's obviously a big signal of something not being right. sad

The truth will come out soon sad

Did you hear what Brian Oxman said? That we will ifnd MJ's situation was far worse than Anna Nicole's. eek He said the family has been trying for months to protect Michael from his enablers.

I know.

But I'll hold my judgements untill the autopsy reveal what kind hole those people dug for him. From what I read/saw so far, its gon' be BUTT ugly disbelief and the difference between him & Anna, his family won't be quite.

OMG - what terrible, tragic news. sigh cry rose

No matter how many times I see the headline that he's passed away, it doesn't sink in... then I see a clip of MJ in his prime, dancing in a frenzy, singing his heart out and just DOING IT... it breaks my heart, it really does. sadI feel so, so sorry for his kids, family members and fans. And I just knew whatever Quincy had to say would tear me up. bawl

I was never a massive fan growing up; if anything, I was one of those people who rolleyes'd their eyes at the latest headline or publicity stunt. I wasn't a hater - I just didn't get 'it'. Although, like everyone in the entire world lol, I was fascinated by it. And that's about as far as it went.

Then, over the last 10 years, I have really grown to love his music. I'm not sure what started it... probably the fact that he is inescapable... but I love so many of his songs. I can't imagine my collection without it.

I remember going home on the bus with my sister, from my Gran's, the day the 'Thriller' video was premiered on British tv. And willing that bus to get a bloody move on!! pissed lol Seeing the Motown audition tape for the first time. faint Falling in love with 'Someone Put Your Hand Out'. mushy

Only today, I was talking in work with a fellow music geek - probably boring everyone around me - about the upcoming concerts and how much I hoped he plays 'Remember The Time'. On my lunch hour, I was walking around town blasting the 'Dangerous' album - still my favourite - and loving every second of it. music And, finally, after all these years I couldn't believe that I would be finally seeing MICHAEL BLOODY JACKSON live in concert - in about 3 weeks!!! I have been gearing up towards it for the last few months... I managed to see Prince, I managed to see Madonna - I'll just never, ever get the chance to witness Michael Jackson live. cry Gutted.

What saddens me the most, is that my housemate - one of my dearest, closest, best friends in the world - probably cried himself to sleep tonight. sad I have known him for about ten years and, if anyone shares the same level of passion for an artist that I have for Prince, it's him. He is an MJ fanatic. The amount of friendly arguments we have had - MJ vs Prince giggle - or stories I have heard about his MJ experiences... Ten years ago, I promised him that if/when Michael ever toured, I had to be there with him. And, as the concerts have got nearer, there's barely been a moment over breakfast, or when I get in from work, where I haven't heard the latest MJ update. lol sigh I was sat next to him earlier when his Mum called and saw him breaking down and damn... cry I feel so, so sorry for him. You never think it'll happen to your idols.

MJ, what a remarkable, astounding, breathtaking talent you were. I truly hope you are at peace now. What a huge loss to the world of music. sigh

I have a sick feeling that the aftermath of his death will be as sordid and controversial as anything we've ever seen. Even if 99% of all the details turn out to be untrue, you will see a bunch of vultures having a field day over his passing and the status of his children, his estate, and all of the business people and hangers on suing his estate for whatever crumbs are left over.

Nice. All of a sudden I feel more like vainandy...there is no more talent. Madonna, Prince, and Michael were the end of any true mega-super-icon-status stars. The shit that passes for talent today doesn't even raise my eyebrow.confused

I'm not talking about Stevie and some of the older stars still with us. But the 'new' talent lacks so much. I'm trying to think of anyone who can make my whole family rush to the TV to watch them jam. The only other group we did that for was EWF.

Same thing goes for Madonna. Although her business problems are not quite as bad, her personal life is another story. 2 failed marriages as examples.

Yes, he has a TEAM of people to do what needs to be done. I really hope that's not the case--an Anna Nicole type sitch--but would not be surprised after what a pal told me.

I'll just keep the fam in my prayers.

I can't listen to his music.....Not for awhile.....

No one around me right now understands how I'm feeling. They think I'm taking this too badly/personally, even though they know I've loved this man since forever. No other celebrity/entertainer has made me feel the way he did....They can't relate to that....As if I shouldn't cry....But they just don't get it. I'm sad. Shocked. Confused. Depressed by his early departure. That's why I'm crying. No, he's not my blood/family. But it feels like he was....Been in my heart since I was born....Call me "too deep." I don't care.....I've been hearing that for years....

And as usual, I'm recording all the TV specials/news reports I can today. But for what? I don't even know. I'll never replay them....

What about the Beatles catalogue that he co-owned with Sony. To my understanding, that's worth billions and Sony wanted full control of it for years.
