Any one else loving Pet Shop Boys' new album Yes??

I just downloaded the album on iTunes last night and I've been listening 2 it all day! I actually don't own any of their albums besides Discography and Introspective but after enjoying Yes I decided 2 check out their past albums-- Fundamental, Nightlife and Very. I have 2 say I actually liked several tracks from each album and can't believe how much I'm missing out on PSB these last few years. Back 2 Yes, my favorite tracks r Love Etc., Did u c me coming?, Pandemonium, and The Way it Used 2 b. How 'bout u?

I enjoyed listening 2 the track by track commentary. Insightful and they're both laid back. The more I'm listening 2 the album, the more I'm loving it-- warming up 2 Legacy and More Than a Dream.

Depehce Mode will likely stay in the Top Ten of Billboard. PSB's last album here didn't get a proper single release and was sort of released by Rhino almost as an after thought (although within a somewhat timely manner...about a month after the world wide release date just like "Yes") and it only debuted at 150, their worst ever (in fact, they've always had their albums debut in the Top 100 at least). I hope it gets a decent debut.

I can't stop listening to it either. A perfect pop album with the right amount of beats and wit (they put a bit of it on hold for this one considering how sharp Neil can usually be). I bought "Yes, Pet Shop Boys, etc" on CD. I'm not a fan of dubs but they are pretty good and while I don't think the song with Phillip Oakley (not available on Itunes for some reason) would have fit on the album (nor is it has good as the additional stuff from "Fundamentalism"), it grows on you. It fits the mood of the "etc." disc because the music is great.

Rainbowchild, if you don't track down the remastered editions of the albums, it is worth getting "Alternative" (although it won't feature the b-sides from "Bilingual"). They make many b-sides (two per single, I think) and they are often great. "Very"'s bonus disc is excellent. Not talking about "Relentless", which I've also heard great things but don't own. They are a little more expensive but in some cases, Itunes sells them.

Thanks 4 the recommendations Vinny! I haven't gotten the chance 2 hear Bilingual yet but I am loving Fundamental, Nightlife and Very. I downloaded them from iTunes. I do hope Love Etc. gets radio airplay and the album do well here so they can tour in the US soon.

The album debuted at #32 this week on Billboard album chart, much better than their last album.

haven't even had a chance to listen to it yet. this and Depeche Mode and Peaches and PJ Harvey are all sitting in a pile waiting to be heard while my current Prince phase passes.

by the way, did anyone else have a hard time getting this in the US? i had to go to 3 different Best Buys to find one copy. the other 2 said they didn't even get it in. and I only saw 1 at the Borders here.

Yeah, I couldn't find it at the local Best Buy store either; (in fact, I didn't see any Pet Shop Boys CDs of previous albums at all at the local Best Buy) but found the CD at Barnes and Noble but they cost more there; they only have the regular CD and I was looking for the limited edition which I'll order through amazon.

i always forget to look at Barnes & Noble. i've seen them getting a few "hipper" CD's there in the last few years, but i'm just used to them only having a rack with about 4 releases, limited to things like Sarah Brightman and Andrea Bocelli yawn will have to start keeping them in mind before i start travelling to other towns.

Best Buy didn't even have it online (only extremely expensive Euro or Japanese editions). Neither did Meijer. Funny because they all stocked "Fundamental", which didn't sell as well. Maybe everyone is being way too cautious. Yet the CD sold more. I think people that buy CDs online are making more of an impact than ever. the album was doing well on Amazon (where I bought it).

Great album, sort of subtle, sneaks up on you. But definitely their best set of tracks in a long while

Indeed, the first track, Love Etc. sets the tone 4 the whole album. It's got that clean, crisp, pop sound and very catchy. I just learned that the next single from the album is Did You See Me Coming?; good choice; I love that song!

After going 2 several Best Buy stores this week, I found one that stocked the limited edition of Yes and picked up a copy.
