I see that the band's Wikipedia page has been updated, stating that "Sony has confirmed that a new Sade album is to be released in 2009" and citing http://www.raarfm.com/mus...ed_in_2009 as the source.

I also read somewhere that Stuart Matthewman had said something about Sade being in the studio again.

Of course, I take all of this with a grain of salt, but this has me really excited. It's been NINE years since "Lover's Rock". I didn't think we'd se another Sade album.

Somewhat related - the album that backs her, officially called Sweetback, has also featured Maxwell, Amiel Larrieaux and Debarge (maybe this is why Maxwell mentioned Sade's new album dropping this year also). Here's a link of a song by them that features Maxwell (from 1996):
