I have mixed feelings about 'Krush Groove'.Considering that that it had a bigger budget than the other films and is partly based on the true story of Russell Simmons and his Def Jam empire,it should be a great film.However,it seems like it was hastily thrown together...like they quickly tried to make hip-hop's answer to 'Purple Rain'.There are some cool performance sequences but I think this movie could have been so much better if they had taken more time and came up with a more powerful script.Sheila E. is fun to watch,but her role seems pointless.
