50 Cent tops Forbes list.......

Posted December 8, 2008- One thing’s clear; 50 Cent will never stop making money. After 12 months, 50 Cent is the top earning musical performer of 2008, edging out The Beatles, Madonna, The Police and hip hop’s power couple, The Carters (Jay-Z and Beyonce).

According to Forbes Magazine, the rapper/actor, who also snatched the number one position for Forbes’, Hip Hop Cash Kings list, pulled in a hefty $151 million from June 2007 to June 2008. With a reuinon tour helping them net $115.8 million, British rock group, The Police, fell one spot behind the Southside Jamaica Queens, NY native.

Landing two spots behind the G-Unit boss is Roc-A-Fella ambassador, Jay-Z, who netted $82.6 million in the past 12 months. Hova’s significant other, Beyonce Knowles, kept her earnings up to par with her Brooklyn hubby by earning a cool $80.5 million landing one spot behind the God MC.

In a recent interivew with MTV News, 50 said of his love affair with success and money, “If I’m honest with you, I’m a junkie, I’m addicted to success, there’s no rehab for success, or I’d go check in right now," asserted 50. "The only thing that doesn’t come with an instruction book is money, so you get it and if you blow it it’s cool- you’ve just got to go and get some more!”

Almost all of his money is off endorsements, he has a 100million dollar deal with Vitamin Water. I dont consider him a top music money maker by any means, there are bands in NYC playing clubs that make more off their music than he does.

"We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F
