great song

I'm a big Tears for Fears fan, but for some reason never heard this track.

Glad Kanye brought it back. He is really good at turning old songs/samples into new ones.

Also sounds like some Taiko Drums (japanese) at the end of the track

Well though I am a big Kanye fan, this is a little hmmm let's say different for me to get into. Its like he's singing instead of rapping. And I have to agree with you about the "T-Pain-ish" vibes going on. I can't stand T-Pain, and now for Kanye to be touching on that makes me a little ill. I'll still buy the album no doubt, but it will have to grow on me. I do respect the man for putting out different stuff than his previous projects.
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I love using the new English term I've learned lately; I am hugely underwhelmed when hearing the new material.

I must admit I never understood why his earlier stuff got so big either. The guy can't sing, I think his flow his horrible and his music borrows from too many angles to be found original. This is no problem for me if only his work sounds like you could pump it out of a sound system loud, but that won't work for me either.

And what's with this vocoder-shit. He sounds like Cher and Roger's illigemate child. In a bad way. "Do you believe in love?" Cher would vocode and I say, not for Kanye, I don't; he's faking it all the way. And the masses adore him. Somehow.

Is he singing like this through the whole album with this autotune vocoder thingy? How can anyone listen to that for more than one track? I’ve heard several cuts and it’s on every one so far. The songs seem very bland with nothing really jumping off the canvas. His voice, the beats, the music maybe for a song or two but for several or a whole album just blah.

C'mon, Huey: If you're going to throw in a potshot about the idiots who voted for Bush, do it in noninvisible font lol

But seriously, not sure what that has to do with liking Kanye. I can't stand MF Bush, and I like Kanye...at least his first 2 albums. He's a pompous fool, and the last album did seriously lack personality, but the first one is downright subversive.

And for the record, not a fan of this vocoder garbage either!

For what its worth Kanye has TOO MUCH personality...and a big ego like Michael, Beyonce or little Richard. That is kind of what makes me like him, but I like someone who can BACK TI UP too with strong hip hop albums too. Some of the best I have heard were from him 2000 and up to the present. he has had 3 consistent albums that did not lack on strong punches, strong production and throughtful lyrics.

Oh yeah, and I dont know how they rigged the election 2 times but i can tell you I never voted for Bush not once...even his face looked like he was up to no good. U know how them southerners are when it comes to thurr gun totin flag wavin' Amuurkah! Blame them rolleyes

Now, now. Don't be touchy. I was just teasing PP4 cuzza his "it's an American thang" remark, that's all.

That said, let's hope Obama wins the vote.

I'm just teasin' too. And I've been working the MoveOn.org phone tree, so if O loses, I'm gonna be extra sad (and entertain fantasies of moving...once again)
