Alice Russell - I don't know her, but this song is great! I love the beat, the horns, good voice! Is the album anything like this? If so, I will definitely check it out!

The album is very eclectic. She goes electronic, blues, kind of all over the place. Personally I love it but if that is the only sound you're looking for then you'll be disappointed. She's hooked up with the right producers though because they know how to write for her voice nod

Me'Shell - I'm a bit surprised you picked this track.....it's the one track I often skip when I listen to 'Cookie'. That doesn't mean it's bad, it's still Me'Shell.....one of the very few artists I can not name a bad song from.
However, a Supa-mix without Me'Shell is not a Supa-mix!!!! nod

The voice or the lyrics?? Especially on Cookie it is hard to deny Me'Shell's voice! I'm in love with her voice!

I had a huge click with the Sugababes' first hit Overload, that was mostly centered around Siobhan's voice (as was the band, if I remember correctly).
And I have a thing for classy redheads. So I kept my eye on her. Her songs Ghosts was mindblowing to me, as she took her cue from The Cocteau Twins' Elizabeth Fraser, who most people just know as the vocalist on Massive Attack's Teardrop. I am a huuuuge Cocteau Twins fan, hence them being on my mixtape.

The first line up of the Sugababes did not HAVE a blonde, btw.

Morcheeba - Big Calm is probably their only good album, they went all poppy after that! The Sea is also probably the best song on it. I remember seeing them live when this came out 10 years ago. They opened with The Sea!
I like the album version better than this one, still this is a strong version as well!

I think the album version is great but the simplicity of this version makes it superior to me nod

I can't tell if you are having fun with us or not with that question! lol

In the slight chance that you are serious, you do know Emma was in the Spice Girls and not Sugababes, right?

you're right, I was just poking Herman with the fact that he's keeping track of British girlbands! lol
But he's right, Sugababes are a lot better than the Spice Girls

I can see that, I like the electronic version of it. On that gig, the venue was totally dark, there was only a blue spotlight on Sky. Also, the set up of the stage was quite interesting: Drumkit on the right side of the stage, dj-altar in the middle (instead of the other way around), something I had not seen before (this was 1998).

The fastest one to catch fire of all these threads I think. And you're the only one that has so far actually listened to the mix!
