Aretha Franklin Covers "Touch My Body"

Last night in her concert at Hoosier Park in Anderson, Indiana, Aretha Franklin performed Mariah's "Touch My Body." Here is an excerpt taken from The Star Press' review:


What she delivered were stops all over her career timeline. There was blues. There was jazz. There was soul. There was even Mariah Carey. Franklin had fun with Carey's "Touch My Body."

"You throw me on the floor and there's gonna be some trouble," Franklin, dressed in a long maroon and gold kaftan, joked after stopping the song mid-verse.

Then she had the unadulterated gall to come out on stage covered in yellow feathers from head to toe lookin' like Big Bird. Plus her watchband was straining for life to stay on her shank, I mean wrist. Lawd, Ree-ree got urshers and I'm sure some high ass cholesterol.

there are so many jokes that come to mind when reading this, but the fact that Aretha would cover such a bad song is beyond me, whats next Aretha doing some soulja boy song?
