Hell, I have almost all of the Paisley Park associated artists albums on CD.

And an original Grey Album CD by Dangermouse (not a copy with the caricatures on the cover). Those were hard to come by for awhile.

What do you mean "Undertaker" original CD...it exists? You know what...I might be losing it. I think I was looking for that like ten years ago and either couldn't find it or found it too expensive.

I was going to say I didn't think I had any rare stuff but judging by that list, I do.

Apollonia 6 on vinyl (and cassette...is that rare)
Shelia E-"Koo Koo" 12"

Also, I was thinking this might be rare but it wasn't all that expensive.
"The Christine Perfect Album" (she is more famously known as Christine McVie...this was before she was married).

Nice examples! Not just because they are rare, but because they kick-ass!

My rarest would probably be Prince - Letitgo on vinyl. It's a promo, white sleeve, with the Dorothy Parker samples. Not really sure if it's rare though. I have never seen another one and rarely hear about it on here, so I guess it could be.

You know I have been asking people about that remix and NO BODY believes me!!!
I have wanted that DP remix forever!!!

Yes, a few copies of the Undertaker weren't destroyed and made it into circulation. They are usually in a white jewel case with no inserts--just a silver CD with an abstract swirl design on it. Then there are pirate copies with a fuchsia-colored cover circulating too with extra tracks. The quality isn't as good on those.

Ooh, I forgot to say earlier, I have an original 7" of "I Want You Back" by the Jackson 5 from 1969. The B-Side is of 'Who's Lovin You', if I recall correctly.

The only reason I bought "Koo Koo" was because it was cheap. Now what about the Christine Perfect album? Maybe I'm thinking about the CD being rare.

I confirm.
I have an original CD still glued and unplayable, and it is exactly as described above.

On a side note, if I'm not wrong the pirate fuchsia-colored cover CD you refer to has the audio of the "Undertaker" movie with "Dolphin" slightly different instead of the audio of the original CD.

The rarest I own is a one sided 12 inch gramophone record, with the Gramophone company angel etched into one side and the tune "Way Down Colon Two Step" by "Iffs London Orchestra" on the other side, black HMV label about 1910, very heavy and scratchy sounding. Its a Sousa style military march. Paid $2 NZ for it in a garage sale in 99, probably priceless now.
Another rarity is a 7 inch vinyl single from 1949 (1st year commercially released) of a song called Blue Smoke by Ruru Karaitiana and Pixie Williams (Think Hawaiian style steel guitar). Not only is it rare but the first song recorded and produced in NZ under the first local label TANZA (To Assist New Zealand Artists). Its a family heirloom thats seen better days.
I also have several obscure disco albums of my mothers from the 70s by Ohio Players, Fatback band, Osibisa, Tina Charles etc

More modern, a copy of Royal Blue by Tyka Nelson would be worth something "Not that I have it"
17 Years ago I made a commitment to Prince

mj-get on the floor off the wall 25th anniversary edition LP, thanks to Play Da Record, a store that's popular for radio deejays.

mj-12 inch mixes

janet-State of the World remixes and Miss You Much on one side, something different from another artist on the other side, it was something like that

mj-Butterflies LP single

janet-2 versions of Control remixes

damita jo and 20 YO with the japanese bonus tracks

Beyonce-B'day deluxe edition including Kissing You (later copies did not include it)

Madonna-the Holiday collection

a couple of jackson 5 CD's full of steeltown recordings

getting michael and janet singles and import singles that US fans claim to never find are so easy to get here, thanks to the big HMV and when Sam the Record Man was still open, and of course all the used record and CD stores all over the place, especially the ones that include celebrity merchandise.

oh and a John Travolta ALBUM

I got this cd set called Studio Nights consisting of a lot of demos and outakes from Prince from 1976 through like 1983. Pretty slick. It is about 8 cds, one cd is Dez, Andre and Prince on some other shit. Another is some outtakes from the For You album and a lot of funky pre-The Time grooves. I am sure someone here has it. I paid like 70 dollars for it USED ten years ago.

Also have a sound board recording of the Dirty Mind tour on vinyl, a german pressing. Imagine that one. Paid about 40 bucks for it 15 years ago. Just to hear I Wanna Be Your Lover and Head played live back then is bananas.

Also got a second generation vhs of Prince, Time and Vanity 6 1999 tour in Minneapolis. Oooh Wee.

Got this cd from an artist named Santessa called Delirium. Produced by Stuart Mathewman? from Sade's band. I saw it on Ebay for like $300.00. It was an import when I bought it. I paid $26.00 for it about 6 or 7 years ago I believe.

I have no idea what's rare. I've got some 2nd-hand vinyl that might be:

A version of Sly's "Dance to the Music".
The Temptations album with Papa Was a Rolling Stone (these could be a dime a dozen, but it took me ages to find one...)
The Family - is that so rare?

I've also got a bunch of P 12"s but I don't expect they're so rare...

And I LOST the original WAR cassette that was sent me in the mail after the CB fiasco...

Same here. It took me years to find Madhouse 16 on cd. Until, one day, I went to East Texas to a very small used music store and found it for $5. Online, I couldn't find it for under $50.
