This is about to make sense in a moment. So bust it: local record store was having a moving sale, and they put all their deadstock outdoors on 2 long rows of tables.. 2 rows of boxes on each table, so like 4 long rows, plus some ones along the sidewalk. i mean, y'all gotta understand too i was flippin past englebert humperdincks and really common stuff.. the "dollar bin" type records. i picked up some of the common stuff i never wanted to pay whole dollars for (Abba, Wings, 80s) but wanted to check out. other stuff i was lucky to find. the deal was $30 for all you can carry. it was sorta like customer appreciation because it was just advertised in-store and not much notice, so you had to be a frequent patron to know about their sale. so $30 for "all you can carry" but my stacks were so tall i had to make two trips

And you didn't have to trade in your car? Is there still a record store? ![]() the record store moved and still has plenty of stock... these were the items that weren't moving in their inventory. there was lots of stuff i never saw in the first place though, being a frequent patron of their store. i think some of it was sorted through from collections they bought for the store, and probably the owner himself was getting rid of some.

Yeah the bins weren't exactly chock-full of pre-1982 funk. FuNkeNsteiN said: Where are you gonna store them?
For now, the same old crates I carried them in. I'll be moving within the next 12 months, and I plan on acquiring shelving in my next space.

I can just see the evening news report: "Man dies at local record store as he is crushed beneath the weight of his own massive 30-dollar attempt." Well I was digging outdoors from 11am to 2pm (peak sun hours) and got a sunburn, then had to lift/carry them all. The owner said watching that was part of her entertainment. It was definitely a physical challenge.
