WE'RE sleeping on her? The rest of us already talked about this album back when it came out. I like it, even though it's pretty schizo.

i already got tired of it once from overplaying it, and i'm revisiting it for a second time just recently.

I guess I should expound. I was expecting to like this album a heck of a lot more than I did, particularly knowing that she was largely responsible for RES's brilliant album How I Do. Her voice is off-putting to me, and while I appreciate that it is a breath of fresh air, it doesn't have lasting value to me.

I like the album, but the genre-hopping comes off as a forced attempt rather than being a seamless effort.

how is her voice off-putting to you? because i think it sounds like there are two or three women singing on that album, and i think it's impressive that it's all her voice.

I put this song on my finetune.com playlist a month or two back. Haven't listened to any other tracks of hers, but this reminds me of early '80s new wave. And her vocal on this is very reminiscent of somebody from that era, but I can't put my finger on who.
