Information Society - "What's on Your Mind (Pure Energy)" A lot of people (myself included) initially thought these dudes were from the UK, but they got their start out of Minneapolis. The song peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1988.

I like "Running", better. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

Really?
I thought this was better than Running but neither are on my IPod. This was cute in the moment but doesn't hold up. I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

It was a different sound coming from them. Also, Running, plays better in the clubs, especially where house music is played. I think it was the other way around. Information Society came out a little while before Human league. Info's sound was a little more independent than the Human league's. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

No offense, but you're way off. The Human League formed in '78 and released their first LP in '79. The League's most well known album (Dare!) came out in '81. I really don't think there's much to compare between the two bands, soundwise (other than the use of keyboards). InfoSoc were more funky electronic pop. I always thought InfoSoc sounded more like a revamped Thompson Twins. Kurt Harland Valaquen (InfoSoc lead singer) sounds quite a bit like Tom Bailey.

Always reminded me more of an upbeat Music for the Masses era Depeche Mode crossed with the Pet Shop Boys. I think it sounds a little like "Strangelove" and a little like "Two Divided By Zero". I'm the first mammal to wear pants.

One of the few great jams of the late 1980s. Andy is a four letter word.

Can't say it's a favorite, but I dig it well enough. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis
