U2 Reissues "Boy", "October" & "War"

Source: U2.Com
April 9, 2008

U2’s first three albums have been remastered and will be released by Universal on July 21st (22nd in North America).

Following the remastered release of The Joshua Tree last year, Edge has overseen a similar remastering of Boy (1980), October (1981) and War (1983). All of which have been remastered from the original audio tapes.

Each album will be released as a standard single disc, a deluxe double version including a disc of b-sides, live tracks and rarities, and an LP version pressed on 180gm virgin vinyl.

The packaging on all three titles has been restored and expanded, with new liner notes for each record, previously unseen photos and full lyrics. More details to follow.

Prince should've thought of this for the 30th anniversary of the "For You" album. wink

drool Joshua Tree's remaster sounded amazing, and I really can't wait to see what they're gonna do with "Unforgettable Fire". But for now, I'll make do with these three...

i guess for hardcore fans it probably is. but i only have most of their
albums either as downloads or on discs i bought first time round.

never got their compilations or singles so the limited edition versions
are just great for me since i'll get the albums in great quality and an
extra disc full of bsides and rare stuff.

now why the fuck can't prince do something like this? so many people do
it and he just let's his back catalogue gather dust and his tapes rot 2
waste in the vault.

sigh
and true love lives on lollipops and crisps
