If their marketing department was smart they would make sure they push her in Europe. Monáe's style fits right in with what appeals to an urbane market here. I could see her being a smash in hit central and nordic Euro countries like Germany, Holland, Sweden...she's very "scenester", and I can see all of the dry, jaded, tragically hip, art obsessed folks loving her to pieces...hope to see her get as much of a push here as Combs does for those damned "Making the Band" groups... | |
