Madonna is NOT performing at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame? What? http://drfunkenberry.com/
Wow. We are getting word that Madonna, who is to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this Monday, and by Justin Timberlake will not perform. This is big. If this is true, she is missing out on a huge marketing tool with a new CD coming out soon. Let’s be honest, her new stuff has not been selling as well as you have been told. Without the Hall of Fame performance from Prince in 2004 and how great it was, he may not have even more respect than he does now. While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Indeed. If that's true then that sucks. Performing on the 2004 RRHOF was one of the best things Prince ever did and it would be a true shame if Madonna doesn't do the same thing. Congrats to her nonetheless but still sad. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that | |

I don't know what her deal is. You have to do that kind of stuff. She is such a dumb ass about that kind of stuff and not treating her musical history the right way (only recently putting hits into her shows, shitty compilations). Really bad and shameful. She'll get "Lotsa De Shit" for this! | |

I understand and embrace something like the "Erotica"/"Sex"/"Body of Evidence" period where she pissed people (mostly the media) off because of a project (it wasn't the first or the last time) but she is never not media savy in this way. I don't like it....So far this is shaping up to be the worst Madonna project (or era) ever! I seriously wonder if she is just making an awful album and making all the wrong moves to piss off Warners and come back strong with Live Nation. | |

This madonna hate is getting out hand! It's ok to had janet...she's a jackson and Rene wrote all her songs....it's ok to hate Prince...he dresses like a lesbian and he stole music from wendy and lisa during the revolution era...it's ok to hate mariah...her boobs are uneven...

I think Madonna is crazy for not performing.What better way to introduce her new single to the world?! She's missing a golden opportunity.She should do a three-song medley consisting of an early song ("Like A Virgin"),then a song from the late 80s ("Express Yourself") and then do a loud,kickass,rockin' version of "Ray Of Light".Then just when it seems like it's over,she should bring up Justin and surprise everyone by performing the new single "4 Minutes".

It's too bad she's not performing. It isn't like she doesn't have a recent stage act to draw from. "Music Inferno" and "Lucky Star" an "Like A Virgin" from the last tour would be great for this event. And they really wouldn't require the huge set, lighting and video stuff.
