What an incredible band.



I've been into them for years, but it's probably been 7 years since I've listened to them. I busted out their debut and b-sides collection recently, and I can't believe how fresh, vibrant and exciting it all still sounds. Every song they came up with from '87-'92 is a knockout. One of the all-time greats just for their first album alone. They could've and probably should've done nothing after that.

And isn't this just about the most dizzyingly happy thing you've ever heard?

It's self-titled. The Complete Stone Roses is a great place to get all their singles and b-sides too.

"I Wanna Be Adored" is one of my all-time favorite tracks.

I've probably listened to that song like 50 times in the past week. It's probably my favorite thing they've done.

Really stuck on the breakdown at the end of "Bye Bye Badman" too. I-I-I've got bad intentions...I intend to...knock you down!

Deserves all the praise it gets. Brilliant, ecstatic, hypnotic, joyful music.

One of my Favorite bands...wish they stayed together longer.

Thanks for recommended this band. I just downloaded the debut album. It's great.

What other bands would you recommend that are similar in style and awesomeness?

Probably my second favorite album after Purple Rain.

This is the only thing I remember about this band and it's kickass.

The rest of the youtube videos posted here aren't really workin for me though...
