chewwsey

we need the vets who did production work in the nineties to come back--foster/mcelroy produced the good stuff for envogue, jimmy jam and terry lewis for janet jackson, etc.

boys to men were a bit whiny and seemed like they were the boy group for the preppie. upper class type. I liked them but not a lot. they performed on tyra's show and werer pretty good

It will never fail to amaze me how a bunch of people (read: Orgers) who have had zero success in the music business come and talk shit about someone who did. lol

And I'm not just talking about BIIM. Hell, just about everybody.

Dawn bailed and we ALL failed to realize her importance to that quad, even the other 3 didn't realize it til they tried to go on without her.

I did give the V3 album a listen and you're soooo right. They just didn't sound the same without her. But that was over 10 years ago.

They got old, boring, stopped making hits. It's all about surface now. See American Idol and reinvent the cringe.

The manly one decided that completing gender reassignment and being happily married was more important than chasing mainstream success that they'd never have.

The bug-eyed chubby one probably got knocked up by some drug dealer or shacked up with a random WNBA lesbian to pay the rent since the SWV ship was sinking and they had no publishing or anything like that coming in or any possible acting roles.

The one with the sharp teeth and the ghetto claws is probably somewhere doing porn, stripping, shoplifting, and singing in her local church choir in addition to taking care of all her kids by various locked up drug dealers.

I could be wrong though.

Well, that was also their album without Foster and McElroy. I thought it was pretty good (if uneven). "Don't Let Go (Love)" might just be their best song.

dseann, you're talking about "Right Here" by SWV that has the Human Nature Mix.

Illustrator, Gerardo sang "Rico Suave."

Don't Let Go was the only song on the album featuring all 4 of 'em.
I know the SWV song. Dance and I are just goofing off.

Destiny's Child put the final nail in their coffin

Despite the phenomenal success destiny's child has had(beyonce's child) lol ,
they collectively couldn't hold a candle to envogue. Each member of envogue
bought something to the table vocally where as beyonce basically carried destiny's child. Kelly Rowland can sing a little but she will always be the
mary wilson of destiny's child.
EnVogue was basically the victim of transformation. When dawn left the public
didn't want to accept a pared down lineup of envogue just like the public would
not accept guy without teddy riley. When destiny's child went through personnel changes, they basically had a different audience listening than what envogue had and destiny still had the straw that stirred the drink in beyonce.

Beautiful voices.it´s a shame, they don´t sing anymore.
"When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."
