I love retro artist. Some are fun, like the Scissor Sisters. Others are cute, like Mika. Some are at times stellar, like early Kravitz or Jamoroquai.

But the best are the people that take that retro sound and OWN it, make it their own. The best of what I like about the 70's (think Elton John at his peak) is found in Benny Sings.

The concert was fun. Packed house.

Afterwards, Joanne and I went dancing at the Paradisco. Dayum, the VJ played Prince and the house went WHOOPEE! Fun to see he still scores. Even with that long haired dancing around in his underwear kinda video.

I got a copy of Benny at home and it's a fantastic album. I love it, could well be my album of the year.

I must admit that this album is by far the best, but live is very good. Or wait for boots of this tour; the band is really tight.
