Best thing I've ever done...I will never, ever, ever go back to chemicals.

my hair is insanely long for only four years.

It's my best decision too nod I'm about 7 years in & already had to trim it a few times - if I'd never cut it, it would be past my ass by now eek lol

at this point.....I think in seven years.....omgosh....i can't imagine how long.

Pep wants a man who has a "body like Arnold with a Denzel face" but someone who is nice. I doubt she even cares how rich he is.

Maybe I'm projecting. lol
[Edited 10/23/07 21:27pm]
Yes she does Cinnie. She said that she's tired of taking care of other people and she wants to be taken care of. Also at the dinner table, Salt made sure that Pep knew that the date she picked for Pep had a plan to get rich.

Yeah they showed her in the upcoming previews for next week's episode. I haven't seen or heard anything about Spinderella in a while either though so it's good to see her out there again.

Really?? hmmm I always thought it took 2 4EVER to grow them down to your back. How did your hair grow before u started dreds?
[Edited 10/29/07 16:22pm]

Nah, just depends on how your hair grows in the first place. Mine was always long-ish - always past the shoulders but never cascading down my back. I'd say it grows pretty fast. I was out of the short phase pretty quickly BUT I grew my hair out for 2-3 years before even locking. So while a lot of people start out w/ nubs to the scalp, mine were 4 inches when I first started so I kinda got the jump on them smile

My sis is about 6 years in, started from nubs, they were headed down her back as of last year.

at this point.....I think in seven years.....omgosh....i can't imagine how long.

Are you gonna trim them when they get to be a certain length or just let them grow? smile Not only are they annoying the longer they get (getting caught behind you while sitting in the car, etc.) but they get so damn heavy in the shower!! omfg I'll never let mine get past the middle of my back, it's just too much to deal with lol

some are mid back....i find them annoying when I sleep. I put them in a funky ball on top of my head at night.

I promised myself 10 years of locs and at this rate I'm sure I will trim them in a couple of years.

I have a lot of girlfriends who are singers, and I swear, they change hair more than the rest of us change shoes and socks, they call it gig hair lol .But in all sincerity, from what I see, alot of the ladies keep their hair french braided underneath, or in a closely cropped ponytail or dried "wrap" pre-style underneath, with a wig cap to protect the hair while they do their public stuff. They wash and condition their natural hair regularly, scalps moisterized and so on. However, once the gigs, parties or sessions are over, they usually rip that wig shit off as soon as the get home or are in closed quarters. The funniest thing I have ever seen in my life was watching a girlfriend, having completed a whole list of singer-press duties over 2 days, pile us girls in the car for an after work drive in the tropical moonlight. As gawd is my witness as SOON as we hit a good patch of midnight freeway with no cars and she could hit 65mph, she threw that wig off so damed fast it hit somebody in the head in the backseat lol. Then she continued to peel off the wig cap, which exposed her very well kept ponytail with a bun so closely cropped you wondered if the bobby pins were stabbing her in the upper neck region falloff. As fate would have it I have seen similar actions time & time again with many diffent women giggle, The hair underneath is usually well attended to, with a healthy conditioned scalp and whatnot... but it's just those episodes where you encounter the odd wig wearing lady who has a mess under there and it says more about her than the art of wigwams ,er uh, I mean wig wearing itself (hello, Vivi Fox at the Delano with her wig flying off at the valet...)

lol lol lol

nod nod its the name of the game!! Funny story! lol

Every big woman (especially singers/performers) u see in hollywood rocks them most of the time. And all for good reason - if they did all the things they needed to do to thier natural hair (curling, straightning, rodding, weaves changed every few days) they would literally have no hair left. So its quite understandable and to a degree expected.

I remember when Tyra Banks was being interviewed (or was it on Americas Next top model?) and she was looking back to when she was a rookie in high fashion modeling. She wondered why all the girls backstage of the runway kept laughing at her. Then she found out - it was because she was curling/styling her OWN hair. One girl finally came up to her and said "You need a weave or your shi* is gonna fall right on out! U wont last one week here". So its sometimes nessesary that these women wear these wigs/weaves to protect thier own hair underneath.

And like I said before..these arnt your grandma..talcum powder..beauty supply store wigs either! wink But its still a hoot to see them when people put them on wrong! (ei: Beyonce's "burn" looking mark..from the glue and lace for the wig) giggle
U want to know the secreat of love and happiness? Love GOD with all your heart, mind soul and strength. And love your neighboor as yourself.
