I don't think you have enough "ha ha's" hmmm This kinda sucks in the sense that people are buying music for all the wrong reasons. Her single "Gimme More" was #1.....seriously....was it all that great? I think people are supporting her music regardless of how terrible it is, because they know she's an emotional train wreck . I heard on this album she had nothing to do with it with the exception of going in the studio and recording the vocals that producers wanted. ???

Well i hate to break it too everyone but thats how records are made now, if you think Producers are in there with the artists, thats not happening, especially in Pop/Rb/Rap. Producers email the beats to the artist, they email their vocals back and boom you have a record, the same thing goes for these COLLABOS, no one is in a studio together, i think the last time two people were in the studio doing a duet together were Julio Iglesias and Diana Ross doing "all of you"

But thats what makes it good! Cause honestly Brit's voice isn't all that special, but the album is a nice little slice of electropop and makes a good dance/ workout cd for me lol

I hope she continues on this path rather than trying to prove her vocal chops with vomit inducing ballads, ala "I'm not a Girl, Not yet a Woman" ill !!!

Yeah, but I mean this time, critics made it seem as if Britney half assed went in there uninspired. When an artist is uninspired, it's obvious, and there's no way I could support music by an artist that didn't wanna record in the first place. Why do I even care? confuse I'm not a fan of Brit's music. lol

It's not a good record. It's just not nearly as bad as people were expecting, hence the reviews. Low expectations help. I like two songs.

No one was thinking she wouldn't debut at #1.

The Eagles actually sold almost double her total, but are ineligible to chart because their GH collection was sold only via Wal-Mart. Lucky her.

I don't even consider this a Britney album really after reading the (surprisingly positive) review in the NY Times. She barely participated, and didn't even do her own backing vocals (as she has in the past).

To me, it's like a big production experiment and Britney's just an accessory

jealous? wink

I've been "doing" charts since the late 1800's!

Charts are not exclusivity!

I don't care if her cd becomes the best selling album of all time. There is something wrong with that girl. I don't even think all her success has made her very happy. As a matter of fact, it doesn't appear to me that's she's very happy at all. I don't know to what degree she's unhappy, but it's like there's something missing.

And I read that Lynn Spears is publishing a parenting book? I wonder if it will be a best-seller? I can't believe Brit's parents didn't realize there was something wrong with her early-on. I read a while ago--or saw it on VH1 Britney didn't even finish high school? That's so sad. Who is Lynn Spears without Britney?

Are the Eagles eligiable to chart, selling at only one place (I thought not since there was a controversy about Jody Wately selling her latest only thourgh Virgin stores....she claimed with her high sales in those stores, she would have cracked the charts). So what is the deal?

THis isn't a huge surprise....People have been expecting an Eagles album for how many years? I was just thinking that Donna Summer might be the one living, working artist with the largest gap between original albums (assuming, hopefully, a new disc does come out next year). Eagles probably prove me wrong. But it's sort of different since Donna kept recording (and as Donna Summer).

So Britney is number one. I did get a note from someone (didn't recognize the name right away, sorry) and it said something like this but I wasn't sure.
