she is lucky that wasn't me on stage, i would have walked off stage came back with a BAG of SUGAR, and shoved it down her damn throat.

I'm like you. If that was me and she asked me back on stage, I would have said something like "I like Aretha better than your Ving Rhames/Holiday Heart-looking ass any-damn-way!"
THE TRAFFIC JAMMERS, The Org's house band: VAINANDY -- lead singer; NAJEE -- bass; THE AUDIENCE -- guitar; PHUNKDADDY -- rhythm guitar; ALEX de PARIS -- keyboards; Da PRETTYMAN -- keyboards; FUNKENSTEIN -- drums. HOLD ON TO YOUR DRAWERS!

She was clearly having a "senior moment" there. She made a joke, he made a joke and then... her head exploded.

I cannot figure out why she went ballistic over a little joke. He didn't say a single profane thing to her. And he was stupid to just stand there and take it.
And then apologize? She owes him an apology and a refund as far as I am concerned. She was rude and completely out of line.

well at least she was woman enough to side step her ego and make amends. i'm sure he learned his lesson.

I didn't see it that way . She basically called him up there to kiss her ass in front of the audience. After he apologized, she calls him up on the stage to get on the mic and apologize again so her audience can hear?

That was all ego to me.

She overreacted. That's not to say that she should not have reacted at all but it was she who initiated the comment thing. He was a little too loose with his words and for that a quick chastising was due, not a full blown out embarrassment like he got. She OVER-reacted to his comment. Now his big mistake was "you heard me" - that is probably what earned him the clowning. He should have opted for something clever like "I said you look lovely tonight, Miss Patti" then a smile & wink to the audience would have made him look cool as hell. He was probably excited to see her, too. I bet dude went home and destroyed her CDs.
I couldn't help but feel sorry for dude a little. She made him feel 2 inches tall. Life lesson to be learned - don't fuck with Patti. lol

Pff...

Bullshit...

She was the first to put herself in that situation in the first place saying "I think he's standing too close to me..." acting like if the guy wanted her...

The guy wasn't even dancing close to her... And never tried to attempt anything...

I'm sure she didn't overreact because of what he said but simply because he stole his shine...

People laughed louder at his joke...

She didn't expect that...

She's a diva... Divas hate to be outshined... That's why she overreacted like that...

She's not stupid...

Indeed nod If some punk-ass said something like that to your grandmother, surely she'd hug him & feel graced by the compliment biggrin

neutral hammer

Sorry but my grandmother is too damn old compared to Patti, anyway

Nobody would say something like that to my grandmother because my grandmother would never make a sexual charged statement to a young man like :"Mmm, I think he's standing too close to me..."

She started that shit...

The guy didn't try to be disrespectful. It was a response to her sexual charged statement. I don't think the young man would have said something like that if she didn't say Mmm, I think he's standing too close to me" in the first place.

Like I said she's a Diva. She acts like a Diva is supposed to act.

Even the audience and the musicians laughed at his Joke. It wasn't a big deal.
