Is "With Every Heartbeat" representative of the album's sound? If so, I'm on board. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

"With Every Heartbeat" is getting lots of airplay on various Sirius stations. The hit station, Hits1, most importantly. Sirius has a rock station, Specturm, that has a hard to to explain format...it's not soft rock, but it's more singer-songwriter oriented stuff...not too hard, not too soft. Neil Young, softer Zeppelin stuff, Elvis Costello....good rock and they have a show hosted by the guy from Roxette and he plays stuff from the Nordic. He was all proud about the fact that the song is number one in the UK...like he had something to do with it. I swear I don't make it a point to listen to the show but fall upon it all the time AND they are always playing Roxette (not a whole lot of rock music coming out of Sweden, I suppose....strange concept for a weekly show).
I think I've mentioned this before, but when I was in Italy, her second album was out or coming out and I saw this video that took place in nightclub and I think the song was about electricity or something. It was interesting. I was a bit let down and surprised when it never came out here considering the success of her first album AND the fact that pop was bigger than ever in 1999. The big song, however, was Geri Halliwell's "Mi Chico Latino". Almost certain it was number one because it was being played everywhere...when I saw the video I surprised to see it was someone I recognized singing this song). [Edited 9/8/07 13:45pm]
