BET'S Top 25 Dancers Of All Time List

*BET has enlisted its “Rip the Runway” co-host Chris Brown to emcee yet another special on the network.

The R&B crooner joins choreographer Fatima Robinson to host “Top 25 Dancers,” a count down of the best entertainers to ever cut a rug – past and present – as ranked by the folks at BET.

Among the contenders are The Temptations, Cab Calloway, Tina Turner, Alvin Ailey, Chris Brown, Savion Glover, Beyonce, Janet Jackson, and of course Janet’s big brother, the King of Pop.

Comical insight is added from R&B singer, Omarion; actresses, Debbie Allen, Megan Goode, Melyssa Ford, Tasha Smith; celebrity publicist Marvet Britto; pop culture critics Nekesa Moody, Margeaux Watson, Michaela Angela Davis, Beverly Smith; comedians, Charlie Murphy, Nikki Carr, Capone, Godfrey, Sam I Am, and many others.

BET's “Top 25 Dancers” will premiere April 6 at 10 p.m.

People like Gene Kelly & Fred Astaire deserve to be on the list but seeing as how this is BET, I highly doubt they will put any white entertainers on the list (eventhough there are quite a few who defenitly deserve to be on there).

I predict the Top 5 will be:

1)James Brown
2)Michael Jackson
3)Janet Jackson
4)Prince
5)MC Hammer
"And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ heart

"Baby, that was much too fast"...Goodnight dear sweet Prince. I'll love you always heart

I'm not predicting anything but if these names (among others i'm not immediately recalling) are not near the top of that list, there's some serious bull-shiat going on.

...William Robinson

...Frankie Manning & Ann Johnson

...The Nicholas Brothers

...Sammy Davis Jr.

...Gregory Hines & Savion Glover

...Debbie Allen (probably won't make it as she's on the panel)

...Alvin Ailey & Judith Jamison

I'd like to see some of the "Pop Dancers" they're possibly going to stack their list with try and hang with these folks...

Yes of course all those people you listed are incredible dancers and of course deserve to be near the top, but again this is BET-They have people like Chris Brown, Usher & Ciara on the list so I wouldn't be expecting too much from that list if I were you.

It is called target marketing. The evil racist BET is owned by Viacom so the white entertainers are being left off the list due to marketing.

I should've said that i'm not predicting or expecting anything. wink

It's just that when you make a statement "Top [fill in the blank] Of All Time" and don't qualify it with any parameters, what should you expect.

It happens around here all the time. Top/Best based on what?

I see Prince top 15 mos def, maybe even top 10.

The top 5ive has to be: in no order

JB
MJ
Hammer
Nicholas Bros
Cab Calloway

six through 15 no order

Janet
Gregory Hines
Temptations
Usher
Sammy Davis Jr.
Jackson 5ive
New Edition
Prince
Debbie Allen
Savion Glover

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if former Fly Girl J-Lo popped up on the list. Also Shakira is on the list as I saw her name on the commercial.

If this is about dancers then why are there only musicians on the list? Many of them are certainly awesome dancers, but don't name this "Top 25 Dancers of All Time" if there isn't one real dancer in the competition. Yes, someone like Fred Astaire is probably not included as this is BET, but as theAudience pointed out, there's got to be at least some name like Gregory Hines on the list, otherwise it's just wack.
