*BET has enlisted its “Rip the Runway” co-host Chris Brown to emcee yet another special on the network.

The R&B crooner joins choreographer Fatima Robinson to host “Top 25 Dancers,” a count down of the best entertainers to ever cut a rug – past and present – as ranked by the folks at BET.

Among the contenders are The Temptations, Cab Calloway, Tina Turner, Alvin Ailey, Chris Brown, Savion Glover, Beyonce, Janet Jackson, and of course Janet’s big brother, the King of Pop.

Comical insight is added from R&B singer, Omarion; actresses, Debbie Allen, Megan Goode, Melyssa Ford, Tasha Smith; celebrity publicist Marvet Britto; pop culture critics Nekesa Moody, Margeaux Watson, Michaela Angela Davis, Beverly Smith; comedians, Charlie Murphy, Nikki Carr, Capone, Godfrey, Sam I Am, and many others.

BET's “Top 25 Dancers” will premiere April 6 at 10 p.m.

People like Gene Kelly & Fred Astaire deserve to be on the list but seeing as how this is BET, I highly doubt they will put any white entertainers on the list (eventhough there are quite a few who defenitly deserve to be on there).

I predict the Top 5 will be:

1)James Brown
2)Michael Jackson
3)Janet Jackson
4)Prince
5)MC Hammer

what kind of dancing has james brown done.... I watched some performances with my family.. and his legs looked like two chickens legs... being shot at...

all he did was wiggle his leg and twitch it... and maybe a giration here and there... and a spin.... but dancing... NO way.... LOLOLOLOLOLOL

MICHAEL NUMBER 1... he invented the moon walk... thats enough said... he's the king of Pop music and Pop lock

ok...yeah...this is funny as well. Michael INVENTED the moonwalk and yet someone TAUGHT him how to do it.

and james brown can't dance? LOL

REHAB is the hottness nowadays...try it.

bets top 25 dancers list was laughable and ignorant.the fact that prince was inthe top ten over gregory hines was insulting at best. also there was no mrntion of sammy davis jr who should have been number one not james brown because if you think about it thats what sammy got press for in the begining of his carrer. plus fred berry was also ommitted which is also a big oversight cuz he was a membe of the locks.see this lists was complie by people who dont known anything about dance cuz ifthey did they would not put sharkira in the same list as alvin ailey.

BET is such trash. This has got to be the worst list ever. I think the top dancers should be artists who were original in their style and brought something new to the table. Usher and Chris Brown are complete carbon copies of MJ and should be no where at the top of the list. In my opinion the Nicholas Brother should have been number one.

What kind of dancing has James Brown done you asked ??? Well you truly shouldn't be commenting on a thread about dancing if you have to ask that question... Do some research of a little Michael Jackson imitating James Browns moves.. And if you think Michael jackson invented the moonwalk you are truly uninformed.. breakdancers in the Bronx and Cali was doing that long before Michael did it on Motown 25

I know Totalalisa is only about 12, but it's surprising the amount of people out there who truely believe that MJ invented the Moonwalk. I mean even MJ said he was taught it, so I really don't know where these peeps are getting their info from.

Do a search on Youtube of when Michael presented James Brown with Lifetime achievement award.. the dude couldn't even talk without crying.. He called James the Master... James didn't do this choreograph dancing that Michael and Janet do so well.. I like you TotalAlisa and i hate to see you make such a uninformed statement about James Brown's dancing.. If you have some time today search James Brown on Youtube (look for early James Brown performances) and learn from that mistake wink

But 21... Bobby Brown and Missy Elliot are better dancers than Hines? Paalleeeeeaase talk to the hand

1. I didn't bother to read the list...

2. I'm shocked Prince made the list hmm I guess he gets points for jumping off speakers & shit lol Not that he's a bad dancer... I just never thought of him as a "dancer" confused

P is a good dancer I think because he spends time playing instrutments and singin on stage that dancing is not his main thing. He could be in a top 50 list not to sure about being 6.

Most of the people on the list have been in the biz since the 80's or 90's. Seems like they forgot that "of all time" includes a couple more decades...

Well fuck, let's put Ellen's goofy ass on the list too - she dances all the time too lol Come on, just b/c you move around in your videos doesn't make you a "dancer" biggrin
