some unreleased 6:50 mins remix of Prince's "Partyman"
sounds very early 90's house/dance.

never even knew i had this until today biggrin

i was born with the wrong sign, in the wrong house, with the wrong ascendancy

Great album. Can you believe it was LOST for nearly 50 years?

I was listening to the 1957 Riverside recordings recently. I've heard it said that Trane's time with Monk was a central influence on the rest of his career.

Is that the other live recording by Monk-Coltrane? I dont have it yet.
I´m more into Monk than into Coltrane, so I enjoyed a lot the Carnegie Hall concert because of the unbelieveble "fusion" of the two.

I think it may have some live tracks on it.

But their studio recordings have a similar energy to them. Here's another one.

The music to Bob The Builder and Thomas The TanK Engine, his only 4 yrs old.
biggrin

We don't watch much MTV or any kind of music channel, so he hasn't yet been polluted by the rubbish they call music today. Hopefully, if I play my Marvin Gaye/Miles Davis/Motown stuff enough, he will by pass that Spice girls/pussycate dolls/Crap-rap stage, and start to appreciate good music from a really early age... cool

And When the groove is dead and gone, you know that love survives and we can rock forever. R.I.P Michael.

I'd say that it's my favorite Tori Amos album, but it hasn't really grabbed me in the way I'd like. With all of the love that she gets on here, and the amount my best friend digs her, I was really trying to "get" Tori. Just hasn't happened yet. Maybe the new one'll do it for me.

I really like "God", "Putting the Damage On", "Spark", "Past the Mission", "Hey Jupiter" and "Caught a Light Sneeze" though. Maybe she's just around the corner for me shrug

Or maybe you just prefer her singles. Nothing wrong with that.
