Anybody Remember That 80's Group Five Star?

They had a couple of hits out such as "Let Me Be the One" and "All Fall Down".
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Every so often, their song "All Fall Down" pops up on the Strobe (the disco/classic dance station on Sirius radio)...sometimes on Heart and Soul (the 80s and after R&B station). That was the first and only thing I've heard from them. IT's very catchy. I probably heard it as a kid, too.

They were really popular back in the day; all over the place. Then they went bankrupt and disappeared.

The last I heard they're on the nostalgia circuit, doing the rounds. Every Christmas, there's this show that goes round the UK - 'The Best Party In Town', I think it's called hmmm - which gathers a load of 80's acts and sends them on tour. I know Five Star did it a few years back. nod

Or recording their 'comeback' album. smile

I always like stories like "Stedman now works in the office of the major of London and Denise is a mother of five."

Yeah, it was ole Steadman. A mate of mine used to know the family quite well, because he was all set to write a few songs for or with 'em. Never happened, but he told me Steadman was bisexual.

One of the sisters is seriously fiiiiine though.
