One of my fave albums and one of the best awful movies of all time! Sadly, it was also the last movie Gene Kelly ever danced in.

The movie is really fun to watch. Sure, it wasn't going to win any Academy Awards, but it works really well as a series of music videos to trip out to while you listen to the music. Of course, several martini's makes it even more fun to watch...

if someone blamed my sexual orientation on watching the movie and listening to the album "xanadu" at an early age, i don't think i'd be able to argue their point.

A few of my friends met her a while back. She performed at a local theater, and after the show, they got word of where she was staying and followed her back there and caught up with her as she was walking into the hotel. She signed autographs for them and took pics, and they said she was super nice about it.

Can't stand the movie but the tunes Magic & Suddenly are pretty damn good Pop tunes.

"John Farrar" is still one of my favorite songwriters ever. He killed that stuff
for her. "Magic" , "Make a move on Me" , "A little More Love"are great pop songs just great. and, Olivia did such a great job with those songs.

i don't know if it's better...i find it more fun than 'grease'. i don't really get into teen/high school comedies unless they're really bitter and dark, though ("heathers", etc.). i also think that whole '50s greaser/bobby-sox era was kinda boring, so aside from a few catchy tunes and fun musical scenes, i've never really gotten into 'grease'.
