Prolly becasue it's so underrated (by the gen public) and never got the hits or airplay it deserved. It's also lyrically "better" than the previous efforts. And really has a fun vibe to it that didn't seem forced. It's a very relaxing fun album to listen to. Fluid is the best way to describe it. Once it starts you don't get off the ride. I love this album just to death 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

I'm not! I'm just trying to understand it. I just like Deee-Lite's poppier side than their dancier side. I'm not saying it's better, I just prefer it. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

I dunno...I just think of all 3 of their albums being a different spin on the same mix of elements - dance, house, hip hop, funk. They just kept refining and updating their sound without losing what it was that made them so unique in the first place. I'm not trying to drill you about it or anything. It's just that I used to be able to tell what you might like, but I'm not so sure anymore. A year ago, you were telling me you didn't think you'd like Deee-Lite beyond "Groove is in the Heart" and then you fell in love with them. I'm just wondering if the same thing might happen with Dewdrops, that's all.

Maybe it's the piano of songs like "Good Beat", "Power of Love" and "Who Was That". Not sure. But even on that album, I prefer the poppier songs like the ones I mentioned to the trippier ones like "Deee-Lite Theme" and "ESP", which I also still like. Well, that's cool that it grabbed you a little more this time. Personally, I can't really think of a better dance album other than perhaps Erotica.
