CD's with "hidden" songs at the beginning of the disc.

I noticed on a few of my cd's that there are "hidden" songs at the beginning of the disc. To find them you have to rewind from the beginning of the first track on the disc. I am wondering what other discs might have similar "hidden" tracks on them. Here are the discs I found to have "hidden" songs:

Maxwell-Embrya
XTC-Coat Of Many Cupboards (discs two and three)
Blur-Think Tank

If anyone out there knows of anymore please let me know. I think it's a neat trick and wish more artists hid tracks this way, it beats hiding songs at the end of a cd!

I have Maxwell's Embrya, which is my favorite Maxwell CD, but what does the hidden track sound like when you rewind it?

I remember when I first found that hidden Maxwell track. It blew my mind. I had never heard of a hidden track at the beginning of a CD before.

I'm not sure how long the track is, about five minutes, I think. Just push play and then start rewinding. If you go too far you'll have to start again. Keep an eye on you counter. When you get to the beginning of the hidden track stop rewinding and let it play. I think it's a continuation of track one, I should say that track one continues from the hidden track.

If I'm not wrong also the David Bowie's "RarestOneBowie" CD has an hidden track at the beginning, but it's not a song, just some kind of advertisement...

I just found the hiddlen track on Embrya last year, thanks ot you guys. That's a damn shame. Had it since '98 and didn't even know it.

New Edition has a hidden track at the beginning of their "Hits" cd that came out in 2004. It's a thank you message to the fans.

Public Enemy's "Muse Sick In Our Mess Age" (1994)
has a hidden track in the begining. It's a cool
minute and a half segment where Chuck D spits out
some sharp words ending with "Don't fuck with me!"
-if I remember correctly.
It's great because the regular intro that starts track
one has a dramatic build up from the begining, so tack on
the secret segment and it just adds to the impact.

I'm confused, I didn't think you could rewind past the beginning of something. Wouldn't it just jump to the end? In other words, isn't the hidden track at the end of the CD instead?

NIN Broken EP has a hidden track at the end, but it's buried away past 50 or so blank tracks. Once you get to the end of the last song, it keeps skipping to another track for a second or so till it gets to the song. I suppose if you hit rewind at the start of the first song on that album, it would jump to that last track.

A few albums with hidden tracks that come to mind... Res's How I Do has a great Pretenders-esque sounding song at the end. Hi Five's first album had a hidden track at the end. Prince's New Power Soul had Wasted Kisses. I think TTD's Symphony Or Damn had some hidden sound effects at the end, not really a song, but some faint sounds, you really have to turn the volume up to hear them.

No, if you place your CD in your player and change the time display so that it shows total time elapsed, if it has a hidden track at the beginning then instead of 0:00 time elapsed, it will show the length of the hidden song. Then simply search backwards until you reach the beginning or until time elapsed reaches near 0:00.
