Be on the lookout for this new band called The Dead 60's I saw them at the Mercury Lounge last night and they were awesome! I've been digging their latest single, "Riot Radio" the past couple of months. For those that don't know, the Dead 60's are a group of young lads from Liverpool, UK. They play a mix of Danceable Post-Punk, Ska, Dub, and Reggae. They sound like The Specials, The Clash, The Police, Lee Perry and Gang of Four jamming in the same room together.
I've had the fortunate chance to hang with the band before they went on. They were telling me how honored they were touring with folks like Morrissey and Garbage. They were just the coolest, nicest guys. It was a great show.

Man, I missed out. I went to the NYC Garbage show, but had to work late so I missed The Dead 60s's opening set. | |
