Synths and piano are different. Technically, a piano is a stringed instrument although the nature of the way its played is different...

Synths and piano are different. Technically, a piano is a stringed instrument although the nature of the way its played is different... it doesn't really matter about the physicalities of how they work. if you can play a piano, you can play a synth, or a clavinet, or a harpsichord. they're all KEYBOARDS.

Annie Lennox (of Eurythmics fame) is a fantstic musician. In recent years, I've seen her dabble with the guitar, and play the flute and piano beautifully. In fact, it is kind of surprising she doesn't show that side of her abilities more!

It really isn't that big of a deal people. 99.999% of musicians can play more than one instrument. WHY? Because they are musically inclined...it's all about theory. I've often wondered if construction of a red lightsaber takes place before you can become a Republican, or is it something you do after initiation. Dah, well...

I'll start of with the Jackson Family. Jackie - Bass, Drums and Percussion, Keyboard Tito - Guitar, Synthesizer, Keyboard Jermaine - Bass, Drums and Percussion, Keyboard, Guitar Marlon - Tympani, Drums and Percussion, Synthesizer, Keyboard, Bass, Guitar Michael - Drums and Percussion, Guitar, Piano, Keyboard, Claves Randy - Piano, Keyboard, Guitar, Synthesizer, Bass, Drums and Percussion and even Janet plays Keyboard. Not saying you're wrong, but we never see these people play anything (other than Tito on guitar & Jermaine on bass, right?) Is that info on album credits or something? Oh, and I'll say Joni Mitchell--guitar, piano, and voice Check this song out at:
