There are many talented artist who play more then one instrument. Lets see how many we can come up with.

I'll start of with the Jackson Family.

Jackie - Bass, Drums and Percussion, Keyboard

Tito - Guitar, Synthesizer, Keyboard

Jermaine - Bass, Drums and Percussion, Keyboard, Guitar

Marlon - Tympani, Drums and Percussion, Synthesizer, Keyboard, Bass, Guitar

Michael - Drums and Percussion, Guitar, Piano, Keyboard, Claves

Randy - Piano, Keyboard, Guitar, Synthesizer, Bass, Drums and Percussion

and even Janet plays Keyboard.

Not saying you're wrong, but we never see these people play anything (other than Tito on guitar & Jermaine on bass, right?) Is that info on album credits or something?

Oh, and I'll say Joni Mitchell--guitar, piano, and voice

I seen all 6 brothers play the at least one instrument in concert (footage not live)

Tito and Jermaine with the usual. I have seen Jackie, Marlon and Michael play percussion before and Randy has played percussion, keyboard, sythesizer and bass in concert. The other information I got from album credits.

Also, in many bio's, the three older boys, (not just Tito) would sneek and play Papa Joe's guitar. Als, before Marlon and Mike joined, they were the percussion players.

I don't think it would be that hard to believe that all the brothers are multi-insrumentalist. When they were younger, it would not be that hard fr Marlon to go to Jermaine's room and pick up his bass or Mike to ask Tito to use his guitar.

More Instrumentalist

James Brown - Keyboard, Organ, Drums and Percussion

Justin Timberlake - Keyboard and Guitar

Dr. Dre - Drums and Keyboard

Teddy Riley - Drums and Percussion, Keyboard, Guitr, Sythesizer

James Brown?
Have you ever heard the man do a solo?
Hilariously inept!
It might help if we have a distinction between someone who plays a few instruments well and someone who plays most of them or all of them badly.
God bless James - he is truly the funkiest man ever to walk the earth...but a keyboard player he isn't!

It really isn't that big of a deal people. 99.999% of musicians can play more than one instrument. WHY? Because they are musically inclined...it's all about theory.

this is true. plus, it's actually easier to learn one instrument if you know or are learning another at the same time. if nothing else, it keeps you from getting bored.

James Brown played the synth on "Blow Your Head" by Fred Wesley & The JB's... I think that's proficient enough.

I'd heard he is or was actually a pretty virtuoso organ player.
Didn't he also play the drums on some tracks?
