One of the hosts of Good Day Live said today that it was the best Grammy show ever! WTF??? How could anyone think that?

After I found out Prince wasn't even there, I turned it. I did catch a snippet of Melissa Etheridge's performance this morning on the Today show. I've never cared for her, but was really impressed with her singing, and her bravery for performing bald. As a breast cancer survivor myself, I have a lot of respect for her now. I never even let my husband see me when I was bald.

Mavis Staples did sound horrible, she could've sounded better. Reminded me of Chaka's experience last year...as for J.Lo, she actually sounded better there than she does on some records, but as for trying to hit the note, I guess that was her way of trying to show it was a reality show...I liked Jamie fox's and Alicia's performance, but Jamie showed he couldn't keep up with her, although he sounded good at the beginnng...I was confused with Latifah's singing disappearing act, what the heck was that about??! Kanye's remark about what if he didn't win, guess they'll never know' was his point that he almost lost his life and didn't because it was meant for him to be alive, succeed, and win the grammy he did last night, he did have a life changing experience and that's the point of his song. I didn't appreciate the Prince's references because they were corny. Overall, the grammys weren't that bad, I think last year's was worse, or maybe I'm just glad that Prince won ANYWAY!!!

That "gospel set" was bullshit. I never considered the Staple Singers gospel and Kanye makes one song about Jesus and all of a sudden it's gospel? They could have had Shirley Caesar, any on the Winans,Yolanda Adams,or Kurt Carr or anybody else. What was up with the Victoria's Secret Angel Wings?
