I challenge you to find 9 solid tracks and match them song for song.

"Butterflies" is hot but Floetry wrote it. No matter what way you dice it, Invincible is a clunker.

Unbreakable
Heartbreaker
Break Of Dawn
Heaven Can Wait
You Rock My World
Butterflies
Speechless
Don't Walk Away
Whatever Happens

There's my nine. razz

Then there's Invincible, Threatened and 2000 Watts which I also like. So there's a twelve track album for you. smile

wink

Thank you for including Heartbreaker. That's my jam off of Invincible. I would have snuck in the song Invincible though and made it a 10 track album. Great vocals on that track.

I will now excuse you for not digging Bad as much as you should wink

Strong track.

I also liked "One More Chance" which probably would've hit under different circumstances.

I see you're a fan of melody.

I think melody is the most important and beautiful, that's why Bad is so satisfying for me

This is one of the songs from Invincible that I really like (definitely the best from the album). Very, very beautiful.

That's a jam. I remember this song playing non-stop on the urban radio stations. That's what made me go out and buy Invincible. It's a pretty good album, but it's not what I expected pretty much from MJ. I also find the album underrated.

This album is definitely a classic. I have it programmed in my Launchcast player and I am getting the CD.

Anyway, if you hear the Invincible album, you can hear some of those R&B trends he showcased on his 1991 album, Dangerous, which wasn't a good one either, in my expectations. I view Invincible as a sequel to either Dangerous or HIStory 2, because it still shows MJ in a paranoid, angry, and bitter state of mind. Invincible is way better than both HIStory 2 and Dangerous, because in some ways, it's an updated, R&B/pop album.

IMO invincible is a piece of shit compared to Dangerous and especially HIStory. HIStory was a genius piece of art(whatever that means). Invincile is like Mike's tribute to himself.

Yeah, I worship HIStory and Dangerous worship

history part 2 has not dated as Michael did not seem to bother to create barely any poppy love songs on this one (except of course "u r not alone" but that hasn't dated).....having said that, I do not rate history disc 2 as highly as Bad or dangerous!

Dangerous is a masterpiece in my opinion.....I love the newjack tracks, i don't care how dated they sound! Second half is great too, particually the hidden track "keep the faith"! "Will u be there", with its newjack backing, is superb also!

I remember reading that "dangerous" was gonna be a full album of pure teddy/MJ newjack! Unfortunately, Michael caved in, but I love the second half anyway! The 2 half thing works great!

"history" is riuned by the 2 last tracks.....though i can take "little susie" sometimes! razz

There's nothing wrong with the ballads on Invincible, especially Butterflies (#14 on billboard charts), it would have been a big hit if they had made a video for it.
And the album would've sold more than 'only' 10 million if there were more singles released from it.

Yeah. Disc 1 of HIStory was the greatest achievement and Disc 2 was the junky and half good stuff.

Hope he doesn't get butterflies when he has to stand before a court of law.

I don't know if he can handle having his head shaved and not wearing his false tip on his nose and his skinned turning back to black again. All his little secrets will be out once convicted.

It's a damn shame MJ likes to play w/little boys

Definitely Invincible can give Thriller a run for its money. I never, ever listen to Thriller, as the only songs that stand out for me are Wanna Be Startin' Somethin', Billie Jean, and Beat It which I listen to on either Number Ones or HIStory anyway.

But saying that about Invincible.. Dangerous and HIStory absolutely rock compared. Who Is It particularly, is a masterpiece. Other fantastic songs;

Will You Be There
Black Or White
Jam
Earth Song
Scream
Little Susie
Smile
2Bad
Give In To Me
Dangerous
They Don't Care ABout Us
Stranger In Moscow..

To any of you who took this discusion totaly of topic and simply insulted MJ, your twats.

Butterflies is an incredible song of an indredible album. My other faves off it were whatever happens, unbreakable, invincible, break of dawn, speechless and YES lost children. Listen to the words man, specialy last verse, that really means somthing. I dont care, that is the truth man.

I rekon his overall best album is Dangerous (thriller is classic shit tho). my favorite all time song of his and favorite song ever is Give In To Me.

Vocally he's very good on INVINCIBLE...it's a good album too, all of the songs are good aside from "you rock my world", it's a bore.

Why do you think Mike would even release the Number Ones collection?
