I dont know the details dude - Im sure Boris, Neversin or Lovemachine would tho - All I know is that he was let go after the Purple Rain tour because Prince got wind of his coke addiction, and this article alledgely came about 2 fund that addiction. After all was said and done tho, Prince still thought fondly of him, as he did that benefit concert in St Paul in 1990 2 help out his bereved family.

I remember this article. Sad but chick was sick and eventually died of cancer I think.

I remember that article. It was on the stands about the same time Around the World In A Day was released. They made him sound like he was in his house afraid of the world. It was really odd at the time because, the album ended with Goodbye. I don't know when I'll return. Followed by a guitar strum. You could almost see him sittin alone in his house after reading the article and hearing the last song on the album. boxed

I remember when that came out as well. Everyone kept quoting from it saying to me, "See he is weird." That made an impression on so many non fans that some still retell the stories from that article. disbelief

But got no love in return?
Did u understand the real meaning of love?
That it just is and never yearns"

I remember that article as well. Is that the entire article? I can't remember, it has been so many years. I remember also reading in a tabloid that the terrorist group that sent pictures of his house was the Ku Klux Klan and they were upset because he dated white women. I can't remember if that was the same article, a future National Inquirer article, or another tabloid altogether like The Star.

You never know what to believe in rags like those because they have lied so much. I think shortly after that Prince was abducted by aliens and grew two heads (LOL).
