Do you guys think Madonna will replace Prince as the #1 Tour in America? Why, why not?

Well I don't agree with it personally but yes she will. I mean she is selling out the same venues and her prices are just obnoxious. Hell for her prices she should be including her whole catalouge plus a greatest hits video DVD. But that is just my opinion. I think as far at the critics go Prince has it in the bag I just have never heard critics lavish prasie on her live shows.
Peace

Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

I am actually a fan of Madonna.....but not even close to Prince

Anyways, I have chosen to boycott her last two tours because of the RIDICULOUS prices. Her shows don't even last 2 hours, she has no interaction with the audience, and it is like sitting back and watching a play. The audience doesnt react too well.

Which is all fine and sometimes fun to see but not far that FRICKIN PRICE! I decided at attend 4 or 5 Prince concerts then go 1 Madonna show.....

WAY MORE BANG FOR MY BUCK!

I was able to see the "Musicology" concert and the "Re-Invention" concert in LA. They are both great shows. Madonna did her thing and Prince did his. I loved the intimacy of the Prince show. He was just right there in the middle of us. That acoustic set he did at the end I will never forget. It had that sitting around the campfire feel to it. I have never felt so connected with him. It was so special.

Madonna promised an assault on the senses and she delivered. Yeah, her ticket prices were high but it was worth it. It was a truly extravegant show. The two gigantic, movable video monitors, the constantly changing stage design, and the over head cat walk that extented far into the audience truly provided a feast for the eyes. Then add to that all the costume changes and dancers. All that was great enough. But when she started playing guitar on "Burning Up" she sent me over the edge. She's diffently no Prince but that was sexy as hell. I got what I paid for.

I don't care which tour ends up #1. It was just great being able to see these 80's icons still rock so well. I couldn't help but think how cool it would be if they would have one mega concert together. It would have been great if Prince had those monitors when performing songs like Purple Rain and SOTT. An acoustic set with Prince and Madonna sitting side by side would be awesome.
