Prince discussing guitar technique, Chappelle, & Stevie

These are two excerpts from the radio interviews Prince did last week promoting Musicology... Haven't seen them anywhere else online. In one he talks about his reaction to the Chappelle show skit that spoofed him, and in the other he talks about holding hands with Stevie Wonder--a hilarious story!

Both clips can be found at:

While you there, check out my review of "Musicology" smile

Thanks... both of these interviews are hilarious... and showcase Prince's humor and humility... He really has been kicking butt in all his interviews.

Interesting that sometimes Prince can be so talkative and relaxed, yet other times he's so stiff and reserved.

Of late he has been a lot more relaxed in interviews though - really warming to the task of promoting himself.

He's a shy person, so perhaps radio is just easier for him, except early in the morning. smile

Thanks for the links, I was laughing my ass off. That visual of Prince holding hands with Stevie, skipping down the street singing "Ebony And Ivory" was hilarious. He as such an awesome sense of humor, it's too bad the masses don't know how funny he is.

Shyness is not the point, its the dual personality element. I personally believe that shyness is blocked energy. P was probably shy from being teased as a child, I dont feel that he is naturally shy...

Hey, NuPwrSoul..... thanks for this post. P really is a scream.... great interview.....

prince's radio interviews are far more engaging than his t.v. interviews.
he seems genuinely excited to talk to the show personalities.
perhaps because it's a phone interview...
he's probably on the other end in his underwear and bunny slippers, do-rag on his head and no makeup.
