This is so silly.How can you believe anything that comes from a former , I repeat former road manager. Anyone who has followed Princes career knows that he doesn't do drugs. He may do or have done some wild things but I seriously doubt that drugs was one of them. This is dumb.

If someone does something weird, you say to them "Stop smoking that crack!". It can be used in a fliipant way. Especialy over here in England. We love drug jokes. Just look at the "Drugs" episode of UK comedy Brasseye. After that came out, everyone was making little jokes about hard drugs.

that being said, there have been a number of former employees that have remarked about (past) drug use in the 90's. these are people in the music industry who have worked with him extensively that have said this, and i'm not referring to roadies or other people far down the prince totem pole who for whatever reason harbor any ill will towards him. just because someone isn't working for a particular celeb anymore dosen't mean that they weren't in the know about some behind-the-scenes antics, especially since a few of them were even partcipating in the aformentioned antics at the scenes in question. and anyone here who has even REMOTELY had any experience with music celebrities, ESPECIALLY on the road, KNOWS that the road manager of ALL people know EXACTLY what the hell is going on with the artist because they are in a way, responsible for practically babysitting them. And for anyone who has not been christened by the behind the scenes tour experience, I can tell you that one of the road manager's babysitting duties is to sort of "monitor" the drug situation on the road...whatever that means...to the best of their ability... so yes, there are actually a FEW really HEAVY hitting stories about drug related activities that went on with p, his band, ect., back in the day (rehab stories and everything) , from people who either knew him well or had to spend an extraordianary amount of time with him- but i like the idea from the orger that has the concept of whatever happened back in the day, "that was then, this is now".

oddly enough, i did heard something similar to this story years ago, too. as a fan i felt jipped because i felt i was always led to believe that he was so squeaky clean when it came to that kind of stuff. but then, in the end it was his business, so whatever.

I find it more interesting the comment about Andre 3000 being clean. Most people know for a fact that not too long ago he was a big time weed smoker. He quit while recording The Love Below... alledgedly. But some of his appearances of late he has looked a little cooked.

As for Prince. Has he ever done drugs. Yup. Can I see him hitting the pipe. Not really. Too messy, bad smell. Smoking it in a joint with weed... yup. Using regularly and for a prolonged amount of time. Highly doubtful. His voice would have been jacked up on a lot of those 90's albums and live it would be damn near impossible with all the falsetto he does.

As a Prince fan of 20+ years it is not hard for me to visualize Prince using drugs .
He has mentioned alcohol use in songs but has always spoken against drug use.

Prince mentioned on Oprah in 1996 that he had MPD and people who have Multiple Personality Disorder and use alcohol can show signs of being under the influence of another drug.
