Micheal Jackson fans vs. PRINCE fans

It's real funny how i know a lot of mj fans who will tell you that mj is a better singer then prince, he's a better dancer,and he has more and better fans but one thing that i always say to the mj fans is that he has been doing the same thing for the last 25 years if you take away the moon walk and the pop locking that he still does, what else is mj doing on stage.. nothing!, 1 thing about PRINCE is you never know what he is going to do with a song, i have seen prince in concert since the 1999 tour and ever time since he has change the songs so much that they sound like something new.Mr mjj has not shown me that he can even write his own album yet,or try and change up that sorry concert line up that is the same from the J-5 concert. he's DONE!.

This goes without saying, but if i were to say anything about it,
i would only waste time by saying it even more emphatically.

this will happen until the end of time. always some sucka out there who thinks mj is the closest thing to compare prince to, some sucka whose brain froze musically circa 1984, which even then was already a superfical likeness between the two at best.

They are nothing alike IMO, and never really have been. As a fan of both i think i'm qualified to say that, I'm not blinkered by just liking Prince or just liking MJ. I'd say the initial poster was a bit harsh on MJ in some respects, he has written and produced some truly groundbreaking songs over the years.

One thing for sure is if put MJ fans in a ring, and Prince fans in there as well and let them fight. We'd kick the shit out of the MJ fans.

MJ Fans cry and pass out and concerts.

Prince Fans, have hella fun and we party all fucking night.

Everyone is right. They are nothin' alike, but people are going to put them up against each other because they are the same age and they both ruled the 80's. Yes MJ will always have fans, but Prince is the real deal. Like the person who made the topic said: MJ hasn't changed his shit including his loafers for 25 years so Prince is the MAN as far as I'm concerned. Michael is over.

MJ can't sing better, he definantely can't dance better,he's been doing the same moves for the last 20 years, a 5 year old can do those stupid MJ moves, and 3rd MJ is going to have more fans when he is behind bars picking up that soap in the shower.

While I love MJ's music, I've come to prefer Prince over the years, because:

* MJ's talent came because he was forced to dedicate every second of his childhood to it. It came naturally for Prince.

* MJ concerts, while entertaining, are like fascist rallies, Prince gives you a much more intimate, friendly and intelligent concert experience.

* Prince is not a paedophile.

I went to a MJ concert, 5th row... had fans pulling my hair... trying to get in front of me ... mind you im sitting in my seat and they are trying to sit on me practically...

I have never had this at a prince gig... I was front row centre for a few prince shows in melbourne... i was a bit of a sooky la la and when he sang ? of U, i was crying so hard... and kept saying to myself.. (your gonna miss the song.. stop crying!) Hands came from everywhere patting me on the back... patting my head and giving me support... and asking if im ok... I never got that at any MJ concert...

This is just my 2c and my observations.

You don't have to like them equally much, but COME ON! This is childish! They both have unique qualities and they both have masterpieces in their catalogs.

Get a life, have an open mind and maybe you'll learn to enjoy something else besides Prince. I mean, even Prince can't fulfill all my musical needs...

you cant compare the two i am a really big MJ fan and a really big price fan so i think they are both great!
all i know is they recorded a two songs together so they must respect each other, so we should as well

whats happened to prince one of the most talented musicians of all time has become a underground artist and he seems content to be that and given up on being a force in the music industry again
