I could remember my first Prince concert was during the "Purple Rain" tour, with Sheila E. opening, that was in 1985. The last time I saw Prince was January 1998 for the "Jam of the Year" Tour. It was definitely a shift from 1985. GCS (Grand Central Station) opened for him and he sang a lot of songs, except for "When Doves Cry" surprisingly.

I must say, that I think I missed him best concert when I missed the "LoveSexy" concert in November of 1988. I heard that was one of his better concerts.

How about you? When was your very first time seeing Prince in action and when was the last?

I was at the Triple Threat tour way back, and was at the ONA Chicago show last March.

I was 12 when I first saw Prince.

In the 80's Prince never played Phoenix (well he played there on the 1999 tour but I was only 8) so I didnt get the chance to see him until 1997 which was the greatest day of my life. I was front row and I'm so glad I did not pass out!

I missed the ONA tour as I was moving from AZ to CA the same two days he played both citys...

I'll see him on the next tour!

FYI - I do believe the concerts at the Oakland Coliseum for the Triple Threat Tour were on April 1, and 3, 1983.
