I would say some of his most underrated are:
1. "Reflection"- it so beautifully illustrates his calm and peaceful mindset these days. He seems to be in full acceptance of his life's circumstances.I get teary hearing it because it's a very personal song. Maybe I'm at the same stage in life.
2. "Empty Room"- I love the version that is touted as being live but it sounds like a studio version to me. It's more guitar driven than the original. Would love to hear this version live!
3. "Extraordinary" - The vocals are extraordinarily beautiful.
"The fanbase I have now, they're so sophisticated, they almost expect me to do the unexpected." -Prince

redface ashamed to say, I only heard it for the first time the other day!! It sounds like having sex to me. He sounds really horny and I can hear noises like he is doing something to a women... (uhhh). After hearing it, I wanted to get nekid!

Ashamed? Why? It's one of my fave b-sides, if not Prince songs EVER.

It ALWAYS makes my Prince ballad compilation album.

Not ashamed of loving the song Gooey, ashamed I've been into Prince 18+ years, and only just heard it!! biggrin

I was just listening to Eternity. Love the vocals.
The extended version of does not compute love the keys.

I really like Train too, honestly it was one track I expected to not like. Since I am not a big fan of the steeles tracks.

I did the groove of god created woman, very slinky,a category that also contains money don't matter and underneath the cream.

The whole vault album. It did not imed grab me, but I went back and now really enjoy it.

I will tell you from an audiophile point of view the vault and rainbow children sound amazing. Great tight bass and clarity.
Music is the best...

Amen. Amen.hug smile

Oh most definitely.
This was the song that forced me out of the dark ages and into the digital age! I had to buy an import CD of the ST of Bright Lights Big City to get this track. Of course I then had to lay out £120 on a cd player so I could listen to it. So back in 1988 I spent £135 on 1 Prince track. And it was worth every single penny.
