I love Raspberry Beret. Wish I had the comic playing in the background as movie (listening Prince? Good extra's on DVD collections.

I prefer the more stripped down vids from the early days-1999, Controversy etc and the live footage vids from Dirty Mind.

I have a soft spot in my heart for the Automatic video. Then comes America and then Partyman.

The 'most beautiful girl' video had the potential to be great, BUT prince in that dreadful red and white outfit and unintentional comic make up killed it dead for me. I'm still shocked when I see it...could nobody tell him looked ridiculous?. The 'Audrey Hepburn' eyeliner with flicks never works on a guy.

I remember seeing some kind of dance version with lots of different girls and Prince watching them while they danced ...now that was cool and he looked good too.

I am brand new to this. I've been what I thought was a huge fan of his since the early 80s. Now I find that y'all are MUCH more devoted than I. I have to admit that during the 80's and early 90's, I was obsessed!!! He kinda lost me after that, what with the name change thingy, and the increasing spirituality. Anyway...

Where are you all seeing these videos at? Am I sounding stupid or what? I've never seen the Face Down vid, though that is one of my favorite songs. Help!!!

Prince's videos have historically stunk for the most part. At least in comparison to many of his 80's counterparts.

Nothing Prince has done conceptually has been particularly impressive. That's why I always fall back on the performance stuff. It's when he's at his best anyway. To that end, I prefer the videos for 'Dirty Mind' or 'Sexuality'.
