Prince covered Talking Heads?????

I've just learned that Prince had covered the Talking Heads classic, Once in a Lifetime. If this is true then that's sooo cool. My hero covering another all-time favorite of mine. Where can I find this song?

I have a rehearsal of him singing the line jokingly "this is not my beautiful wife.." during a jam. I don't know of any other 'Heads cover.
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Yeah, I remember hearing that too and thinking, "that's cool, he's heard of the Heads..." - I don't know of any full cover of "Once In A Lifetime" though...he'd KILL on a cover of "I Zimbra", oof.

If he were to cover "Blind" it would be Prince covering the Heads who were in turn covering (so to speak) The Godfather of Soul. And it would swing, babeee! Or he could cover almost anything from the Remain In Light album. Some of that material seems to lend itself to Prince's idiosyncrasies. Sweeet.

Prince doing "Burning Down The House" would ROCK.

Talking Heads Burning Down the House was
on Prince's New Power Radio Broadcast in 1990.
I figured he was down wit The Heads if he included it.
They are also one of my favs & I think Remain In Light
(along with much of their stuff) is briliant!

I do have it.

It's on the live & rehearsal CD '1999 revisited'.
It's included in the rehearsal song 'DMSR'.

Pretty cool, pretty silly (instead of 'Dance' 'Music' 'Sex' 'Romance' he sang 'Pizza' 'Hamburgers' 'Pussy' and so on...) and pretty long (13 min. I think..sorry I'm at work now.)

This was the first boot I ever bought! I think it's a perfect example of Prince's (then) sense of humor. I still laugh my ass off when I hear it! lol
