The October 2020 of UK music monthly Uncut has a two-page review of SOTT SDE. It reveals some intriguing details about two of the outtakes, but otherwise doesn't contain much news. It's also a shame that at least half a page is wasted on the tracklist and some recording information; they should have spent that space on more reviews of the outtakes. (The magazine was published today.)

I can't remember seeing anything when I placed my order but I'm surprised they didn't restict numbers when there was less than 2,000 available.

Gotta disagree. The Cross is critical to the SotT album. The album has this socially conscious title and title track. The Cross is the only other song that picks up that theme, and it adds weight to the release overall.

if he were still alive they would be moaning and complaining (in some cases ridiculing) his new music
and saying prince was an idiot for not releasing deluxe editions of his old albums because it was so so
obvious to them that he had nothing left to say since 1995 etc.
