I'd love to read Tyka's book. And one (or more) of Prince's personal assistants' who helped him with his philantropy – I'd love to read a lot more about how he's helped so many people in secret. I think it's safe to assume that the stories emerged after his passing are only the tip of the iceberg.

Another one I'm eagerly awaiting is Alan Leeds's autobiography.

like an updated, super-edition of "the vault", with interviews and commentary by all

From here on out I would prefer a book that consisted of a time period of people which would include a photographer, clothing designer, videographer, some not in the band that played certain instruments like Novi Novog

No matter the time period, that would be a more interesting read, than an individuals book.

the people from the 1st advent were more wrapped up in Prince and his more defined vision, which will always make for an interesting read

the 2nd advent of people were connected to his disillusionment and chaos and disorder,

the 3rd the players connection was a lot different and to me seems more disconnected or dual reality.

A very fair to all involved, very detailed biography like Peter Guralnick's Elvis books would be nice - long, detailed and written by someone without skin in the game but who isn't looking for a quick buck either. It's probably too early for that to happen though.

I hope Duana Tudahl gets to release some more books.

A book of essays by the likes of Greg Tate and Neil Kulkarni, both of whom by my reckoning wrote the best tribute pieces when Prince died, would be amazing too.

I like to read from both the personal and nonpersonal points of view. I really loved Mayte's book. She has a good soul. If 3RDEYEGIRL wrote a book about their time with P, I would read it it in a heartbeat. For a nonpersonal source, I loved Charles R Cross' book Heavier Than Heaven and think that he would do a stellar job, if so inspired.

alan leeds hasn't written one has he? I don't agree with a lot of what he says but it would be good nonetheless.

guralnicks books are the gold standard for elvis, never been able to handle his non-judment of the people around elvis. I'm not sure if any blame should go to anyone else but not everything around the man was healthy. what surprised me with prince is that he had all these examples to learn from and it looks like he made the same mistakes.

far too many to name BUT my top 3 would be:

1] Kirky J - imagine the stories he could tell - frankly mind blowing I suspect

2] Wendy & Lisa - really love their recent cute stories [just need Wendy to dial it in a little!

3] 3rd eye girl + Josh - purely as they were his last major band & embarked on such a joyus time

Kirk. Morris Hayes. Tyka. Neal Karlen (hopefully this year). Larry Graham.
