2. Had already bought a ticket for the second State Theatre Show, went back online and managed to get a VIP to the first show....was going to sell it as Id already spent enough going to Opera House shows aswell, decided to keep it as I said to myself 'who knows when hell be back'

3. On return from the gig I told a friend (not a fan) I had seen Prince live and he said "is he still alive"

4. Got a boot copy of the same gig as it was leaked pretty much soon after the tour, and had it playing in the car up until he died, which I dont normally leave the same CD for that long, about a month or so....

On the morning of 4/19....I woked up feeling distraught

I had a dream where I looking through the eyes of someone and experiencing what they were experiencing.

The atmosphere was mixed with paranoia, pacing and fear. It was in a luxurious room where it was constant going back and forth, such as staying put inside and then stepping outside (thinking that there was a dark figure out to get "me"). Suddenly I am in panic mode inside the room and ended up collapsing on the floor. I felt the sensation of dying and then I woke up.

If I knew back then what I know now.... I would be blasting and posting this on social media, notifying him on twitter or where ever...who knows if the outcome would have remained the same or not but it's wishful thinking sad

That was an upsetting dream; I'm so sorry. sad

I've had terrible dreams like that, where I wake up, breathing heavy -- it's scary!!

Could it be that he just looked older than you expected given that he was 57, or did he truly look terrible, and if so, how?

When I first heard Prince was doing the Baltimore concert I was concerned because he was doing it alone - he didn't have any other top tier performers along with him and for some reason that bothered me. After the concert went well I was OK and no longer concerned until I heard about the plane incident. Then I was really worried but tried not to think the worst. I was inclined to believe he actually had the flu, but in my mind I knew this was not the case.

No wasn't an age thing, believe others that were there have said similar comments, you really had to see him up close, I actually felt sorry for him when he first sat at the piano and there was a pause before he started, I was like how the hell is he going to pull this off on his own, he actually looked grey when the lights were up, which wasnt for too long, the shows I saw were all mostly played with the lights dimed down, could have been for reason too, also security were like storm troopers patrolling the front rows, again maybe under strict orders. Again at Casablanca night club when he left I was right there, that was a weird night....he decided to leave but got the security to force everyone one out first and they told us he had left ages ago through the back door which he didnt, when he finally came out there was only a handful of people outside .

Thanks, Dimitri.
So that would’ve been Feb 20 I think. I looked up pictures of him at that show and he does look very thin, especially his neck. I was watching Montreux 2009 yesterday and he was also thin then, and would get like that sometimes, but the grey color to his face you say he had at PAAM Sydney is something I hadn’t heard before.
A few of you who were following him at that time have said you were concerned about him doing the show “alone”. What do you mean by that? I have noticed that Prince was always careful to use the word “we”, and I feel that was a way to protect himself. So I’m not surprised security was so heavy when he was up there alone.
I’m wondering if he was at that time also trying to detox from painkillers, which would explain his appearance and maybe Bos carefulness, or even some fear/paranoia. One of the older women singers (I forget who) said later that he was becoming more paranoid, but also more human.

poor guy, other people had said things like "I don't think he's going to live very long" due to his appearance on the P&M tour. He probably knew this and just wanted to push as far as he could, Duke Ellington played right up to death too. When I heard the Oakland shows where he asks if the audience would come to see him at PP it sounded like it could have been just banter but in light of how things turned out and where his ashes were kept, it sounded more like he knew that's how things would be. Given your dreams turn out to be true,
could you please dream about Trump having an aneurysmal rupture?
Thank you.

I remember coming back from a professional meeting, around 5 pm, and putting my headphones on. I was excited!
I was going to listen for the very fist time to my freshly downloaded 1985 Miami Soundcheck, which everyone here was praising.

As "Controversy / Mutiny" was unfolding, I remember wearing a big, wide, tender smile.
"A little boxier". The sound was so good, the performance so great,
that I was thanking God for Prince, once again : even after all these years,
even after having listened to every song, even when you thought there wasn't much left to discover,
the magic couldn't be stopped from pouring.
Surprise, surprise. Another treat, another trick.

I remember thinking: this sounds too good.
It has to be him in person leaking this shit. This is precious,
this has traveled through time, this has been kept hidden this long for a reason.
Moline felt like a hundred thousand million days away.

I remember thinking: this is incredible, it feels like a lifetime I've known the man,
and he still astonishes me, he can still make me feel like I'm fourteen again.
I have this profound belief that when you truly listen to music, when you feel it deep inside,
and give it total focus, when you open your heart and let it all in, it does something to your body cells.

Remember how Prince seemed not to age? Maybe I have just good genes and fool myself,
but I'm persuaded music, and SKipper's in particular, can be a source of life. It's a yoga of some sort.
I know it sounds bonkers. Like the face lift two hours of good, heartfelt sex can give you.
You look in the mirror and you go: wow, where I have seen this face before?

I was thinking: this is a gift. Even if it's probably leaking from a fan and not from him, this is a meaningful present.
The newborn Prince, the kid with the afro, the primadonna finally turning back into a guy I was waiting for for years,
humble, friendly, leaving the celebrity imbroglio behind, he just fit what I was hearing.
I was so happy he was finally slowing down and stripping himself from the bullshit. P&M. Naked. Sharing.
A casual, filmed performance in a bar. Candid TV appearances.
No need to remind anyone of how much you've been blessed with.
We know. You had a Good Life. You hurt, but again we all do.

I was forgiving him for bragging all these years. No one could have helped it.
When magic pours out of you non-stop, of course you believe you're the one.

We always thought you were. And it's so damn hard to realize the world
does not give a shit about things you cannot touch, feelings you don't have to explain.
Everything has to be sold, or bargained.
It's gettin' harder every day, oyez oyez.

Oh yeah, you had all the rights to look at them, even at us, from a distance.
Your love for music made you work this much, not the other way around.
It's not perseverance. It's unstoppable, indestructible, caring faith.
We like to think a little trickled down upon ourselves.
I know I just have to press play to open the gates.

In the back of this public bus, with my headphones on, I was savoring every passing second,
and felt so privileged, yet so frustrated looking at the other folks coming back from work.
Thinking about how little music means to them: daily tapestry, phoney feelings,
the occasional party, dull romanticism, something, but nothing resembling the depth
Prince seemed able to give in infinite amounts, in every color:
humour, spirituality, dance, introspection, courage.

But after just two minutes through it, just when I was once again realizing my luck to know Prince,
just as the bridge asking if I believe in God was building up,
the music stopped: incoming call. And another. My Dad, my best pal.
Our families and close friends know how important Prince is to us.
They know we're about much more than regular fans of regular artists.
We have a bond which is pretty hard to explain.

I went to my habitual pub, and blasted Prince until late in the evening.
I was mostly sighing and sad smiling. I was, or at least I thought, bravely accepting it,
a bit surprised, even disappointed at myself to be such a grown-up man about it.

And then, three days later, headphones on, listening to yet another song I know by heart
up to the least detail, it suddenly sounded like the very first time,
and the rain came down. It hit hard. For hours.

I've often dreamt of Prince. I know he's there.
I ain't afraid of shit, except of not being as good as I can be. I know, no child is a failure.
But we cannot all receive a million bucks allowance for our nineteenth birthday, can we?

Damn, Christopher.
Sometimes your memory is just too demanding.

It's late, and I'm running out of things to say.
it's just been a manic monday, and I gotta job to do.

I try to make love with only words.
Sweet dreams.

What I don't understand is why would the production manager allow him to perform at all?

I do agree somewhat but Prince also spent his entire career speaking cryptically and alluding to death. Seriously, pick a random date for him to have died from, say, 1982-2015 and check out any interview/review around him then and see how it would have looked had he died the next day.

I just chose 1990 there and there's that rolling stone interview:

"When I pray to God, I say, 'It's your call — when it's time to go, it's time to go,' "

1997

"Mayte and I are into this thing now of wondering whether we’re supposed to get up out of bed when we wake up. If you sleep past this point when you’re supposed to get up, then you’re groggy for the rest of the day"

looking at this from the perspective of him dying the next week, he was clearly ill!

He actually smiled a little, but could see he was avoiding people, think security were over reacting though....They also had the dj booth set up for him that night and Nik West was waiting for him, he didnt bother coming out at all.

maybe we do, but.., I don't think the people who predicted he would die were particularly fanatical, in fact, us fanatics all jumped on the person that said that from what I remember. We were offended by the thought of it, didn't understand why someone would say it and jumped all over them. they just said "that's how I feel, he won't make it past 57" and that was it.

Hi people. I don't post very often, but visit quite regularly and have since I first saw Prince in concert in Australia in 2012. So I saw 2 shows back to back at the Sydney Opera House on the Saturday night. At the first show I was seated to the right side of the stage, so was looking at Prince's back for a lot of the performance. When he walked out and sat down at the Piano, I think my reaction was 'Oh my God'. Could literally see every bone in his spine. Prince's performance was beyond words, so it just didn't gel with the picture I was seeing of his physical health/ state of being. I went home with the feeling that there was something really wrong with him So much so, that I decided I would try to organise to a holiday to US later that year so I could hopefully see his beautiful- brilliant- musical- magic some more. It felt like time was running out . I am not putting it into words very well, but when my daughter rang me that morning to tell me he had died, I was devastated and shocked but inside a part of me was not surprised. It wasn't clairvoyance I don't think. I was blessed to see him in concert 4 times, a drop in the ocean I know.

Not really a premonition, but like a lot of people have said here, I had a strong feeling that there was worse news to come after his emergency landing.

I mean, it just sounded so strange that Prince could have a medical emergency - something I had never heard happening to him before. It made me realise he was human, not superhuman. It was like finding a hairline crack in a priceless vase, or seeing Superman get a dose of kryptonite.

So when my I came home on 21 April, and my dad told me the news, I actually wasn't shocked.

I am glad that you have brought this topic up. Back in 2016. I did not wnat to believe that Prince was dead. So, from April till December of 2016. I was looking up; found different artilces to see if this unsureal event his real! I had a dream abiout Prince back in Decembver of 2016. I had asked him. That people are saying that you are dead. Is this true? Prince had turned to me and smiled and was saying something. I could not make out what he was saying in my dream. As of today I am still looking up articles on Prince. I just doe not want to believe it.

there were two posters here who had premonitions, both both, five years before Prince died. I can't find the one thread, i've looked high and low but I remember it because we all jumped on that person. the other poster, mentioned it post death, and i pm'ed her about it and she couldn't explain it, she said she was at a concert and having a good time when the chilling feeling came over her that "he is going to be dead in five years" and she couldn't understand why she would feel that. as for me, i won't go so far as to call it a premonition but on the eve of the 21st i just felt crazy I've only felt that kind of way a few times in my life.

Did anyone get any premonitions or dreams before April 21st, 2016?

I'm asking because back then I was an emailing a friend and would share certain dreams with him. I was looking through some of the old dreams recently from back in 2015 and on October 12, 2015, I told him about a dream in which it was announced that Prince died "and the whole world was mourning him" but it turned out he faked his death. He said there were things he needed to do, but couldn't do them in the public eye and this was the only way.

Then on December 9, 2015, I emailed him about another dream in which we needed to protect Prince, especially from those that would use him, because if we didn't, he would be murdered. In my dream, my friend and I were trying to desperately protect him, we were desperately trying to keep him hidden, but Prince was stubborn and would not be protected, didn't want to be protected, and would do what he wanted to do. It was like fighting a battle all night, trying to protect him, keep him safe, and him going off and doing what Prince wanted to do, and all I could think was that he was going to be murdered if we didn't do something to stop it.

It freaked me out when I read the dreams. I hadn't remembered them. I remembered my friend and I talking on 4/17/16 in IM and I told him that Prince was thinking about giving up this mortal coil. Don't know why I said it, but I did. After the 21st, when he and I talked, I told him, "I take it back!" And he told me I couldn't take it back, and even if I could, it wouldn't change anything.

I've had what I call "feelings" when I was younger, but it was usually related to family members or some such. But, it's just coincidence isn't it? It's just so weird to read what I wrote him months before anything happened, and realizing that Prince really is gone, it did come to pass. And I'm thinking I can't be the only one that got some kind of feeling about it, had some kind of dreams about it, maybe?

Hmm, did you forget our conversation?

I wanted to post it here but I predicted it at least a month before he died.

But my drummer said that I needed to forget it, because some people here are just to overly sensitive about things. But his exact words were:

IF YOU POST ANYTHING NEGATIVE ABOUT PRINCE HERE YOU WILL BE BANNED!!! neutral

no, it was someone five years before he died, I got banned for DEFENDING Prince never for criticizing him as some here went overboard with when he was alive and they weren't banned.

Thanks for sharing 2kittens. Many have said he looked seriously ill those last few months and so many didn't notice. Not many who saw him at a P and M show have chimed in, so glad to hear from you.

Welcome to "the org", Mumio…they can have you, but I'll have your love in the end nod

There is still the third eye closed pic, and the "save your prayers" tweet that linger on, and maybe they will for ever.
I remember lots of speculations going on about it here on the Org.

One of the most painful stuff for me is that picture of him lifting his new guitar on the stage in PP.
It looks so wrong. First, you see him from the back, as if they weren't other pics from that night,
or no one would post them because there's really something wrong and you can't show his face.

Second, it looks like Prince is bending his knees, making a really strong effort to lift it up,
and compare that to a man that used to throw his guitar in the air like it weighed nothing, it really is hard to look at.

Lastly, the pic looks distorded, like some poltergeist passed across the lens, or as if Prince was already a ghost.
Lawd I hate that picture. Fans look happy. And it all gave us the feeling the situation wasn't so bad.
So little do we know.

the prayers thing was not a tweet, he said it that night.

and he also mentioned not being able to play the new guitar. some took it as due to him being focused on the piano shows... some took it as him knowing... I wonder if the near-death event did not cause serious harm to him.

but it does seem it was projected...
