After reading Dex thread of why marry ... I thought it would only be right to make a thread of some of the reasons why men don't marry. I mean let's just face the facts here, men fear comitment. I don't know why they do, but they do How hard could it be just to love one person and why do some men feel as if they're missing out even though their mates fits them like a glove, well anyways... to futher dicuss this topics, I found some reasons why some men perfer to stay single the rest of their lives, i don't know about y'all but i don't want to die alone

1.They can get sex without marriage more easily than in times past.
2.They can enjoy the benefits of having a wife by cohabiting rather than marrying.
3.They want to avoid divorce and its financial risks.
4.They want to wait until they are older to have children.
5.They fear that marriage will require too many changes and compromises.
6.They are waiting for the perfect soul mate, and she hasn't yet appeared.
7.They face few social pressures to marry.
8.They are reluctant to marry a woman who already has children.
9.They want to own a house before they get a wife.
10.They want to enjoy single life as long as they can

Makes sense to me I just hate the guys who wait FOREVER to get married & then they're so old, fat & ugly that nobody want's their asses. I feel sorry for them People need to realize the party WILL end someday & @ a certain age, you need to stay up out the club!

2-10 are the main reasons I don't have much ambition to get married. As for reason number 1, well, women have always been able to get sex without marriage if they wanted it. They were just taught it was dirty, immoral and wrong.

Any man that marries for sex has got problems. I agree with everything else you said with #3 being my #1 reason. Can't most of these apply to women as well?
