I sorta feel sorry that new fans won't ever feel the same excitement watching the P Associates as it all actually happened and rooting for our favs over the years...it was such a unique time.

But they can relive some of it by following the music.

We really had a unique experience.

I dunno if it was common knowledge outside of Pfans, but as a Pfan, I knew. I think we all knew on some level, rolled our eyes and pretended it was all them on their own.

It was really undeniable though cuz P's sound was so unique that I'd hear something on the radio, clock it as probably being from P's camp and nonfans would get really annoyed...but you knew it was from Minnieapolis and that meant it was probably something to do with P.

Sorta like I'd lie to nonfans, "Prince is 5'6" tall, dammit!"

It was clearly stated on them that those early records were produced by Prince (Jamie Starr). But as a teenager at the time, I didn't know that the credits were all fake and that Prince played most if not all the instruments too with only the lead vocals differentiating them from Prince's own records.
