seriously? just reached out and grabbed the meat huh? Are you black? what did you do? I'd have loved that shit myself, that's never happened to me, thank your lucky stars.

That's right....just reached out and grabbed it. The last woman who I worked with who did did it,about two summers ago, she and I had never even had a conversation beyond exchanging casual pleasantries. When she did it it was almost like some nervous impulse that she had no control of. Freaked me out. I've never been one to deal with unwanted, overt sexual advances in a healthy way. Unfortunately find that no matter how together, assertive, and unaffected I might be able to pull off being in other circumstances, incidents like that have a way of reverting me straight back to my childhood and a time choose not remember. I usually become immobile, expressionless, and just stand there in a sort of paralysis. (Hmmm, maybe I'll elaborate about it more in the Strange Confessions thread) If you really think you want that type of attention, you can have it. I project all ownership of it to you right now astrally, my friend. Hell yeah I'm Black. ..whatchu thought? Lol [Edited 12/28/16 2:06am]

i'd love that shit, but i'm really a nerd, i just ignore it, but i never had nobody grab my dick, except a female doctor when i was nine, that shocked the fuck outta me, my balls actually, but dick/balls, what's the difference. when women do that to me do tend to ignore it, i'm good at playing innocent, but little do they know, i'm very aware of what they do. I asked if you were black because you mentioned white women, white women have a fascination with black men, they just do. I could see how being objectified like that would be insulting of course. It's still strange to have them do that in a work situation, I never understood women to tell you the truth, they mystify me. They say no and when you accept no they throw the pussy at you, just nutty. I love em though.

absolutely they do. It's kind of a thing with them, they think the shit is cool. When white people let themselves go like that they really let themselves go. As a musician I can't stand hanging around the dirty whiteboys they annoy the fuck out of me and we just come from different worlds, can't relate. I've got a musician buddie, black dude who should be a star, plays better than Jimi and he is a local star but I don't get how he hangs out with all these whitefolks. Maybe he figures it's what he has to do but I can tell from his facebook posts it bothers him. One of these days we'll talk about it.

Anyway, us minorities have to learn that we can't get away with the same things they get away with. It's heartbreaking to watch these shootings we've had with the woman trying to use what i call "whitespeak" saying "oh, don't shoot, he has TBI" no no no, that's what white people get to do, us trying some shit like that just ends up with us dead. I'm Indian btw but the same rules apply. For us there ain't no post-traumatic disorder, no add, no bipolar, no nothing. If we don't learn that lesson we're in for a lot more heartbreak. Watching the Sioux thing lately, I really worried that the shit would go bad any minute, fortunately, some good white people got involved. Without them, the thing probably wouldn't have ended like this and may have ended up in a slaughter. That's what history tells us and we have to go with that.

Trust me....I could write a 3 volume manifesto on the putrid stench I've been subjected to by a certain melanin deficient, artistic type and the psychosis I'm convinced its a manifestation of. I once new this French guy who smelled so foul that being in his presence was a constant exercise in controlling my gag reflex. The weirdest thing was that his fellow white people who interacted with him didn't seem to have a problem with his eye-wateringly bad BO. I mean this guy left a funky miasma of stench behind in every room he entered and left. This wasn't the kind of stink that happens because you have a manual labor job and recognize the futility of showering before work. This was the kind of BO that people cultivate as a political statement. We're talking about weeks of summer sweating without showering or changing clothes and perhaps years of deodorant avoidance. And hey, if that's your thing? More power to you, just don't expect me to carry on and simply ignore the 5 ton elephant that's in the room. Sometimes when he had a new love interest he would even 'enhance' his signature scent with a squirt of cologne which for all intents and purposes had the effect of being punched in the face by Floyd Mayweather. That's right, just take a minute to reflect on that.... This guy got more poon then you would EVER believe. [Edited 12/28/16 1:34am]

so you're a black man in Britain? They're as bad as the US huh? I wouldn't know. Some of the odor thing could just be different diets, people from different cultures do smell differently. I remember when I worked at my first job as an 18 year old, I'm a city boy, but the job i got was with Indians from small towns or reservations, they thought i smelled funny, i probably did to them but it wasn't because of hygiene. Now, these whiteboys, i just call them dirty whiteboys, because they are just fucking nasty, not just the smell, how they act, what they do, things they say, I don't really like white musicians, so i work alone. My buddy, the guitarist, well, i think, i'm not sure, but I think his fans see him just like they saw many a black artist before him, like an exotic pet. As I've said, someday we'll talk about that because that can really fuck up a man's head, just look at what Kanye's going through now, he's just the latest to really somehow get some crazy ideas in his head being around white people. Anyway, don't feel alone, what you've written, many of us have felt. My answer is not to take any part or to give them enough leeway to where i have to put up with that shit, i don't have a damn dime though, not everybody wants that tradeoff, for me, it's the only way. I would honestly go postal if i had to go through that shit.

i understand men better, but no, not completely. Women do some crazy shit, i've mentioned the girl who put me off of relationships, encouraging me to keep pursuing then calling cops. I haven't told you about the several women who said "no" when i asked them out and i run into them years later and they act dissapointed that i don't pursue them, several of them. and i did mention how sexually, i've been in situations begging for it and they say no and when i pretty much give up, they are ready, it's a wierd fucking dynamic, I'm not totally complaining, I got the pussy and they had fun so we're even.

Why is it hard to for me find this subject as Prince-related?

Especially in this (US-fed) stupidty of LGBQ-whatever thinking the 'man' thing is irrelevant.

So why discuss this nonsense now he's dead?

So could you please explain to me why men have to spread legs in public transport so that everyone see their balls, why they have to stare at women all the time, why they can't talk to women in a condescending way and why they go around half-naked in the summer? Also, why don't they understand that when I say, "Please, don't touch me", they still keep touching me? And why do they think that me wearing a skirt means that I ask them to comment publicly on my legs?

hmmm Though I'm inclined to agree with you, your pejorative use of "fruitflies" and weird hygeine talk let's me know I all I need to as to whom I'm interacting with. lurking

As for all of GuitarHero's defenders, I'm sure he's a great guy, wizard at math and all that shit, but when White men pull that 'I'm a victim too!' mess, I laugh. Simple as that. Especially when they fail to see how anyone could see otherwise. It's that knd of thinking that got President Chump elected.

But I digress... This has become a P&R thread, and I only venture over there if I'm looking for a fight.

i don't know about the balls thing, i don't do that. staring? because women are mysterious and beautiful and you hope they show interest back. I don't usually stare but I always, always check em out. talking down to women? I think many men do believe the patriarchy stuff. I don't really talk to women i don't know at all these days. I can tell you that there is a power struggle going on many times between a man and a woman, i see it with couples all the time. Usually though, the woman is the one who dominates, at least in my observations. The men walk around with their tales between their legs and take it. So, what I'm saying is, sometimes men might try to talk down to you but they might not really believe that you are beneath them. My best friend used to be the worst chauvinist in the world but he turned out to be the most pussywhipped guy I know. What does that tell you? It tells you that he wasn't what he was saying. The touching thing? I don't have a proper context, I have known men who just don't stop, men are fucking aggressive by nature and then you take this culture we're in which is pretty fucked up, i mean, the US has always taken what it's wanted, you think the individuals of the country are going to be any different? That's rape/slaver/many of the wars in a nutshell, something they want and their going to take it. Many times it's just to show you who the boss is. The legs thing? I don't know, It's all changing now though. one more thing, it depends on where you are in this country, i'm in pussy ass seattle so the men here are pretty pussified, i probably see less of what you're talking about than many of you.

just telling you my opinion about these musicians, they are dirty whiteboys, they think it's cool to be dirty, they always have that white attitude too, smartass and egotistical. The point is not to indict every single one of you, the point was, how certain peoples and segments of society are entititled and they know it, they can do what the fuck they want whether they think it's cool to be a heroin addict or whether it's to rape women. this is out there, these people are out there. I guess we got there talking about how women, white women, the most coddled people on the planet, have this thing called feminism and how they want things both ways. But my initial point was, Prince was not really a supporter of feminism. didn't mean to hurt your feelings, i'm just telling you my exp as a musician, based on what i've seen. I can only guess that they think they are rebelling against mommy and daddy but I don't really know, don't care honestly, like i said, i stay the fuck away from them.

Honestly, I think this is judgemental and not representitive of most men. No doubt there are some vile , horrible men out there that do not recognise that 'No' means 'No' , I know because I've been on the wrong end of one, but over the years I've come to realise that they are in the vast minority. Most men have a good heart and are desperate to be loved and wanted. Perhaps the comments on your legs are an attempt to chat you up? Most men are actually quite nervous when chatting up women and just say the first thing that comes to mind, and often that thing is pretty dumb, perhaps they were complementing your legs? I'm in my forties and can honestly say I've never seen anyones balls on public transport, not that I've really been looking; maybe I'll start now.

As for Prince, I think he appealed in all sorts of ways; he was gentle, yet he could be badass; he was quiet, yet he could be loud; he could act the alpha male but also the feminine male. I've no idea what toxic masculinity is but I'm sure Prince wouldn't fit under such a label, yet he was all man in my eyes. There is no one way to be a man, just as there is no one way to be a woman, to try and bracket everyone as such is way too simplistic.

Are some of you really Prince fans? He loved everybody. All i get from this thread is how bad men are and dirty whiteboys are just f@@king nasty, not just the smell, how they act, what they do, things they say. eek Can imagine if someone said this about another race and gender sad

just telling you my opinion about these musicians, they are dirty whiteboys, they think it's cool to be dirty, they always have that white attitude too, smartass and egotistical.

Can you give me some examples? I feel really stupid but I honestly have no idea who you're talking about?

well, i've seen heroin addict musicians speak on the virtues of suffering like it's something that's cool. I remember another time a guy came in while I and my black buddy were there, he offered my buddy a drink off of his bottle, my buddy took it, then the guy bragged about how he'd just vomitted all over the place. My buddy excused us both and he rinsed his mouth out and wondered, "did he do that on purpose?". The way I see it is that being dirty is not something you do if you have a choice about it, being all fucked up is not something to do because it's cool. I guess if you know you have all kinds of safety nets to run back to you don't really have to worry about that type of stuff. Most of those kinds of musicians are like the hippies, just being rebellious but as soon as they've had enough, they go right back to their society. My problem is just how they try to treat me, i mean like they are just soo much cooler and better, that's why i don't deal with them, if their so cool then they don't need me around. My guitar playing friend, the guy who plays like Henrix, I don't really know why he does it. I know he's not one of those kinds who are really overcompensating and trying to be white, I'm thinking maybe it's only because he has such a passion for music. I just think that it's not healthy to be surrounded by so many people who can't really understand you and vice versa. I mean, it is seattle, the music scene is almost completely white so I know he's feeling some conflicts. Let me say though, that by him being more open than I am, I'm sure he's meeting plenty of nice, decent people who are just as serious about their craft too. I don't think i'd have the patience to deal with the other kind myself. Even just hanging out in bars, a place that by it's very nature, is pretty nasty, it tests my patience. Dealing with bitchy waitresses and drunks, being a poor musician is tough. Those guys who can get on stage, get off and go don't know how good they have it.

Agree this thread has absolutely nothing to do with Prince except for the click bait value Ilissa Gold knew it would get. Not sure if it's even P&R. Mushy mess of labels and anger.

who the fuck is elisha gold anyway is she like that one lady, gloria sternum.

Can we discuss toxic femininity here while it related to discussions about alleged toxic masculinity?

Well this thread took a giant nose dive.

The point was thread Prince was a man who became mega famous despite having an effeminate and androgynous look, which scared away your typical macho male types. Doing this made him a hero to every one of us out there who don't fit into stereotypical gender roles in terms of appearance or behaviour.

How many of these so-called "alpha male" gymrat types do you think bought Lovesexy on release day? Point fucking proven.
